"France In Paris" is the theme for Week 45 with Facebook calls for protesters to gather on the Champs-Elysees at 10 am.

Activist Jerome Rodrigues saying that after ten months the "government ignores our claims and despises us".

Rodrigues wounded in the eye by police back in January during a Yellow Vests protest in Paris.

Protesters from different regions of France planning to travel to Paris and police planning to mobilize some 7500 of their ranks in Paris.

Prefect of Police Didier Lallemont warning Friday that those who want to:

"take their revenge"

should not come to Paris today.

Certain sites in the center of Paris are being closed off to protests today like the Arc de Triomphe.

Thirty metro stations in the center of Paris were closed this morning by order of the government with nine arrests reported initially.

From Paris late in the day word of 163 arrests and 90 in police custody.


Climate change protesters in Paris today estimated at 38-thousand while police say only 15,200 demonstrated.    There were more confrontations with police late in the day in connection with the climate change protest.

Climate change protesters unfurling banners that included:

"Macron: Polluter of the Earth"

Some six thousand estimated by police protesting President Emmanuel Macron's pension reform today in Paris.   A new movement of opposition to Macron rising up but getting buried by the media obsessed with climate change and the violence of the black blocks of anarchists.

Mainstream media reporting points to anarchists ("black blocs") infiltrating the climate change march and engaging in fighting with police.

The black blocks seem to serve the interests of the Macron government and discredit opposition forces by being violent.    Sincere anarchist beliefs or a government operation to discredit opponents?

To sum up the Yellow Vests Week 45 manifestations of Yellow Vests nationwide with events in Paris dominating media coverage focused on black blocs anarchist infiltrations before and during the climate change protest.   That protest drawing 15,200 by police estimate and 38,000 by organizers estimate.

Also happening in the background a new protest that drew six thousand to Paris according to police and to gather in other cities.   The protest against changes to pensions in France planned by President Macron.
