The voters go back to the polls for the Second Round of France's regional election tomorrow and will more of them show up this time.    Two out of three voters stayed away last weekend perhaps swayed by the government move to end many coronavirus restrictions in the country.

While voters for the traditional "Right" party in France "Les Republicans" showed up at a rate of over 50 percent those who support President Macron's "La Republique En Marche" and Marine Le Pen's National Rally were only showing up at a rate of around 30 percent.

A poll was taken in southeastern France's Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur region for tomorrow's runoff election and its showed the National Rally with 50 percent and Les Republicans at 50 percent.

If the National Rally wins that region tomorrow it would give the party a boost and help its leader Marine Le Pen in her quest to defeat incumbent President Emmanuel Macron in next April's presidential election.

I am digging through all the archives including books I have accumulated over the years with a 1937 Almanac published by the "Philadelphia Bulletin".

Lots of details about Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.    In the details of Delaware something got my attention.

WHAT DELAWARE'S LEGISLATURE WAS LIKE BEFORE THE EARL WARREN SUPREME COURT CHANGED THINGS IN THE 1960'S....

Consider how they allocated the seats for the Delaware legislature back then in the 1930's.    

17 State Senate seats with two in the city of Wilmington, five in the rest of New Castle County, five in Kent County and five in Sussex County.

35 State House seats with five in the city of Wilmington, 10 in the rest of New Castle County, 10 in Kent County and 10 in Sussex County.

In short population did not matter back then in Delaware and the rest of the USA when it came to legislative districting from Congressional Districts on down to the state legislatures.

The cities were contained by the power given to rural areas in Washington and the state capitols by allocating legislative seats more on the basis of geography than population.

CONSIDER THIS BACK THEN IN THE 1930'S IN CALIFORNIA LOS ANGELES COUNTY HAD 38.9 PERCENT OF CALIFORNIA'S POPULATION BUT ONLY ONE OF ITS 40 STATE SENATORS....

A US Supreme Court led by a guy who was Governor of California for ten years before becoming Chief Justice would shake things up in 1964 by declaring that all legislative districts in the USA had to be equal in population and it had to happen immediately.

This meant big changes like Miami-Dade County getting 14 members of Florida's House of Representatives in 1965 instead of the three it had before in 1963.

I was at the news desk yesterday during my late June lull with a limited work schedule this time of year.   Yesterday very busy watching the lockdown unfold in Australia's largest city monitoring ABC in Australia sensing more "stuff" was on the way.

Then Jewish Telegraphic Agency gave us some news about the two year old Jewish girl the British National Health Service wants to euthanize....Put your hands on that Matt Hancock.     Of course the news being that Chuck Schumer got involved.   The girl's father a US citizen Haredi Jew and plenty of Orthodox Haredi constituents in New York.

Hillary paid attention to them, got their support.

But getting back to Australia.    I put out the news summary last night 27 stories a massive Friday late June Newsdump.    Government and business alike dump their bad news in the Friday-Saturday window.

Saturday's can be the worst part of that window for the dirtiest baddest news to be dumped out by government and business entities.

And the Liberal Party (Prime Minister Scott Morrison's party) of Australia did not disappoint my expectations.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian of the Liberal Party piling the excrement higher and deeper ordering some 5.7 million people in Sydney and surrounding regions of New South Wales state into a tight lockdown effective 6 pm local time today (2 am Eastern US time).

Stay home unless:

1.  Shopping for food and other essential goods and services.

2.  Medical care or compassionate needs (including COVID-19 vaccination)

3.  Exercise outdoors in groups of 10 or less.

4.  Essential work or education, where you cannot work or study from home.

The Premier is allowing weddings scheduled this weekend to go forward.

The lockdown until July 9th at least (Two Weeks).   The government entities as we all know by now can change that lengthen the lockdowns at will.

Its Saturday evening in the UK and Matt Hancock has given his resignation to the leader of the British coronavirus tyranny Boris "Al" Johnson.

The media empire of Rupert Murdoch (Moloch) put out the dirt that brought Hancock down and Mr. Murdoch (Moloch) is a full-fledged supporter of Boris Johnson as proven by the last election campaign when Murdoch placed himself in the UK to direct the pro-Johnson tilt of his media outlets.

Is Matt Hancock a sacrificial lamb to help Johnson's political future?   IMHO Yes.

Donald Trump helped Johnson win election in the last campaign praising Johnson profusely over Brexit on the radio show then hosted by Nigel Farage.    Mr. Brexit Farage falling on his sword politically not running candidates against the Conservatives in the South of England.

Brexit had its purpose people to get the UK closer to the US in the global game of world economic domination and to put the European Union into a more inferior position than it already is.

It was late Friday (the Newsdump Window) when the documentation about structural damage to the condominium was revealed.    It came from a report by a consultant engineer.

Among other things the corrosive nature of the salty air of the coastal region is mentioned as a cause of the extensive problems most of which were said to need "timely repair" in the October 2018 report.

The defense lawyer in me (I'm not an attorney) wants to argue the coronavirus drama could be cited as a reason for this horrific disaster with some 16 months of delay, distraction etc. etc. caused by the COVID-19 issue.
