Welcome to Your Weekend the sentiments of my week expressed in the music set that reflects my opening up the boxes of my past to sort things out and throw away some things and keep others.
The cards and letters from people in my past like the guy that lived in an "Animal House" fraternity setting and ended up joining the Salvation Army.
The man who was the Best Man at my wedding who told me the truth about myself just years after I got married and was working in the mainstream media serving as the officer of the church "Born Again" and "Blood Washed" etc. etc.:

Decades later I figured out that truth leaving much wreckage behind in the whole process.
And the woman who was a Sister to me in the Lord doing the right thing as she was on a journey to her husband and her service in other lands for the Higher Power. I watched a woman "working the Steps" and lifting herself up to serve the God of Her Understanding even as I was living with the God of My Misunderstanding.
When I think of these people I can truly say that I indeed have:
"Way down in my Heart of Hearts, way down in my Soul of Souls, way down I know that I am a fortunate man to have known Divine Love"
As Mark Heard wrote it and sang it regarding the Creator and His kind of Love that came to me in the lives of people like those.
I found some loving correspondence from My Dearest Wife from decades past to share with her as well.
35 years of marriage in spite of my insanity being dumped all over it for so many years.
Well where do I go from that.

Four trillion plus spent more money owed to Japan and China covering our national debt.
Donald Trump had the Japanese Prime Minister down to Mar a Lago in 2017 and the Chinese President as well. They got the special treatment because they are the creditors of the USA.
If China is behind COVID-19 then they will be asked to pay up no doubt as the politicians seek to deflect from the tyranny they imposed on the people over COVID-19 along with massive spending and inflation etc. etc.
35 years of marriage this year how about the songs the music used at my wedding as performed by the stars although they didn't perform it at the wedding....

I've been going through the boxes around my house cleaning up shredding records no longer needed and the list goes on.
But I found a "TV Guide" Los Angeles edition from September 1975 Howard Cosell on the cover doing his "Saturday Night Live" on ABC Saturday night September 27th...John Wayne Redd Foxx, Barbara Walters promoted among others as guests.

Barbara Walters is in this TV Guide too doing a show that would be a forerunner to "The View". "Not for Women Only" ran in the 625 am slot on KNBC-TV 4. Here's a sample of the show from 1971 with guest Celeste Evans "The Queen of Magic"...
Local TV in Los Angeles back then 7 VHF over the air commercial stations. PBS on UHF KCET TV 28 with a slew of UHF independents we are still waiting for the cable channels so the over the air indies in channel thick LA dabbled in things like Wall Street.
KWHY-TV 22 did live Wall Street business news coverage starting at 7 AM. This was also done back then in New York on WOR TV 9.
But one aspect of Southern California TV was the conservative TV talk host the late Joe Pyne paving the way for others like Robert K. "B-1 Bob" Dornan and Wally George.
Conservative talk host Ray Briem had a Saturday night 10 pm slot on KCOP-TV 13. Ray a big radio talk host in LA he loved shortwave radio and in his ABC Radio Network incarnation he did a whole shortwave show back in 1984. Ray Briem comes on at 7:25 into this video clip.
