I'm taking it "easy" from writing news summaries, breaking news etc. but watching the news just the same.
Juan Guaido making it back home to Venezuela Monday with the US warning the Maduro government not to harm Guaido in any way.
The Interim President Guaido is recognized as President of Venezuela by 54 countries.
My favorite go to blog on Venezuela is Daniel Duquenal's "Venezuela News And Views" and his latest post discusses the strength of Guaido that the mainstream media wants to downplay.
Daniel's sense is that the "New York Times" and others want to cut down Guaido because he is supported by President Trump and they hate Trump more than they love Venezuela getting a democratically elected president.
Maduro has no respect for media freedom and the "NYT" apparently cares very little for media freedom since they prop up the likes of Maduro with their dissing of Juan Guaido.

the words from veteran political reporter Craig Oliver of CTV News in Canada Monday night as a second cabinet minister resigned sending another shock wave through Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's government in the SNC-Lavalin matter.

Also, its being reported that the US THAAD missile defense system is in Israel for an exercise in the aftermath of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visit with President Vladimir Putin in Moscow last week.
Netanyahu made it clear that Israel will continue to deal with Iranian targets in Syria as the new S-300 Russian air defense system becomes operational in Syria.
And add in the Israeli election campaign and tough re-election fight for Netanyahu with the indictments issue hanging over him and watch out.
Some serious Israeli military action could come down and it could come down soon in Syria.
And when it comes to Syria and all the jihadists supported by the Western nations, Israel and the Gulf Arabs in recent years to overthrow Bashar Assad leading to greater Iranian involvement, there's a right opinion to have and a wrong opinion to have.
Peter Hitchens found this out when an article was published recently by Israel's "Haaretz" branding him a "racist".
Hitchens was wondering if letting the White Helmet helpers of the jihadists into the UK wasn't allowing "fanatics" as in Islamist fanatics into the country.
And he got slammed for it was a "racist" and buddy with "Putin" and the list goes on.

Last week the BBC had something on its daytime show "Victoria Derbyshire" about White Helmets being "rehomed" in the UK. They used that kind of word for the jihadist helpers who have been relocated to the UK.
And when Benjamin Netanyahu had them bused out through Israel he made it a point to say Israel moved them through to Jordan because foreign leaders like Angela Merkel, Theresa May and Justin Trudeau asked him to.
And to be honest Donald J. Trump asked him to help get the jihadist helpers of the White Helmets out of Syria as well.
Follow the money and follow the collusion if you must, but I would aim towards Saudi Arabia and the Persian Gulf instead of Moscow if I had a say about and Robert Mueller has investigated at least one Persian Gulf figure with ties to Israel as reported many months ago.
