BREAKING NEWS:  FRANCE YELLOW VESTS WEEK 17

Well here are again on a weekend when there was a call for Yellow Vests presence near the Eiffel Tower in Paris all weekend.

Plus calls for protests today Saturday in Paris and other cities like Bordeaux.

There have been stories about protests possibly at Charles de Gaulle Airport today.  We shall see.

Police planning intense stop and search tactics leading up to protests.

Their close in aggressiveness in evidence last weekend with injury to a protester in Paris from one of their projectiles and the baton beating that left National Assembly member Loic Prudhomme with a bloodied ear.

Protesters now visible at the area of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris with a procession set to move at 11am.

Its a rainy day in Paris and now in the vicinity of the Arc de Triomphe we have the Ruptly video stream of a procession of Yellow Vests with some Pink Vests mixed in, yesterday being International Womens Day comrades..sarc.

One important cause for the protesters are the privatized highways with the government giving private companies control of highways and those companies making them toll roads.   Yellow Vests frequently take over the toll booths and turn the highways into toll free roads and today is no exception.

The procession in Paris went to the Place de la Madeleine carrying signs about womens rights and climate change, also calling for President Emmanuel Macron's resignation and advocating for the RIC (Citizen Initiative Referendum) to force the National Assembly to put issues to the voters in a referendum.

But some Yellow Vests remained behind near the Arc de Triomphe swarmed by police.  A reminder of last week's intimidating activities by police that included a protester injured by a police projectile in Paris and the baton beating of National Assembly member Loic Prudhomme in Bordeaux.
