France's main opposition politician is Marine Le Pen of the National Rally, formerly the National Front.
Tonight she was part of a national debate on television as the attempt to divert, distract and take attention away from the Yellow Vests continues in France.
Emmanuel Macron pushing town hall meetings, meetings with opposition leaders in France. He's had Marine Le Pen over to the Elysee Palace to meet him among other leaders.
Her message in short is that taxes are too high.
In the last twenty years, taxes and other fees for the French up 85 percent.
She isn't promoting any tax relief for the rich, opposing getting rid of the "wealth tax".
But Macron has already given the rich tax relief and shifted taxes towards the middle class and poor with "climate change" taxes that are regressive.
That's what "climate change" is really about, shifting taxes to favor business interests and the fools who think they're being liberal and progressive demonstrating about "action" on "climate change".
At least the anarchists are honest in fighting the capitalists and cronies of them like Macron as they infiltrate the Yellow Vests and perp their burnings and lootings.
But of course they are nuts and crazy.
Getting back to Marine Le Pen, she's calling for tax cuts across the board.
Polling wise she has over 40 percent popularity right now and would come close to Emmanuel Macron in a second round presidential runoff at 44 percent against his 56 percent. She got 34 percent in the runoff in 2017.
She would be Macron's opponent in 2022 as the polling stands now.
Marine Le Pen is showing she's a responsible adult and Nigel Farage was questioned by a caller some months back about the notion that Le Pen is a heavy drinker.
Farage has been in the European Parliament with her for awhile and he said that she's not such a heavy drinker anymore.
Marine Le Pen has her challenges from the regime in France, but she is standing tall as the leading opposition politician in France right now,,,,

Before President Trump went to Ohio and spoke about Senator John McCain he was peppered by the media as he left the White House.
The subject Syria. The President's decision to keep 400 members of the US military in Syria after he said the US soldiers were pulling out right before Christmas within one month.

Lindsey Graham always was the right hand of John McCain and McCain always wanted the US military involved fully in Syria.
President Trump is implementing the policy of John McCain in Syria so he needed to distract from the media attention to his turnaround to McCain's policy in Syria again by trashing the late Senator.
The President will back away, maybe even apologize as we go into the Newsdump hours ahead into the weekend, I suspect.
But for now his words drown out his actions.
Ann Coulter critiqued the President noting his audiences are left with the notion that his words equal action. The POTUS said 30 times by her count that "The Wall Is Being Built" but she noted ZERO MILES OF WALL HAVE BEEN BUILT and only 27 MILES OF TRELLIS FENCING on our southern border.
His McCain comments were bait to the media and Trump's agenda is to distract them from reporting on his meandering Syria policy. All the emotions over his McCain comments drowning out President Trump's continuance of John McCain's policy in Syria involving US troops being there,

The new provincial legislators will choose the Netherlands 75 Senators on May 27th making it more difficult for Rutte to govern.
