FRANCE YELLOW VESTS WEEK 20:  NATIONWIDE PROTESTS CONTINUE WITH PROTEST BANS, POLICE CHECKPOINTS

Yellow Vests Week 20 in France involved 33,700 protesters if you go by the government's estimate and over 102,000 if you go by the Yellow Vests own estimate.

Checkpoints were set up on highways around Paris with at least nine cities imposing bans on demonstrations.

A heavy police presence with checkpoints aroiund Avignon, France today.   A protest ban in the city center as Yellow Vests called a major protest there.    The police and Yellow Vests facing off throughout the day.

At Montpellier in the south of France some  1600 plus Yellow Vests estimated by the government but the Yellow Vests said their number was more like 2500.   Yellow Vests marched in the city center but also stationed themselves at traffic circles.      A confrontation with police in the city center.  Two police officers injured there with eight arrests.

From Yellow Vests figure Eric Drouet, who was in Bordeaux today, potential sites for major Yellow Vests demonstrations in the weeks ahead, Lille in the north of France April 6th,  Toulouse April 13th and Paris April 20th.
