A former federal prosecutor providing an opinion to support the judge in the case of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.     US District Judge Emmet Sullivan asked for the opinion as he resists an attempt by the Justice Department to dismiss the charges against General Flynn.   Flynn prosecuted in the Russia collusion probe of Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

John Gleeson hitting hard at the Justice Department and President Trump in his opinion and saying that Judge Sullivan should push forward with sentencing of Flynn and take into account the Justice Department's desire to dismiss charges and impose a harsher sentence on Flynn.....TALKING POINTS MEMO....This Friday morning oral arguments will be heard in General Flynn's "writ of mandamus" request to the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia to order Judge Sullivan to grant the Justice Department's request for dismissal of charges........
