Arizona Republican Governor Doug Ducey signing executive orders with one to shut down bars, gyms, movie theaters, water parks and tube rentals for one month starting at 8 pm local time tonight  (11 pm Eastern US time).    Ducey also prohibiting "social gatherings" of 50 or more people.   Groups of more than 10 will be prohibited at community, apartment and private pools.

The other executive order delays  the start of in-person school classes in the state until at least August 17th.   Ducey speaking of "record cases" and "record hospitalizations" due to the coronavirus.     3,079 new coronavirus cases reported in Arizona today.....KPHO PHOENIX AZFAMILY.COM

Republican Chief Justice John Roberts again joining the Supreme Court liberals in a 5-4 ruling.    This time the decision involves abortion clinic regulations in Louisiana that required abortion doctors to have admitting privileges at nearby hospitals.

Roberts, appointed by former President George W. Bush, appearing to flip flop on the issue in this ruling because he ruled in favor of similar regulations in Texas when the court majority was "liberal" in 2016 and Roberts was one of the minority supporting the regulations.

The abortion issue a tough and contentious one but this ruling from Roberts reminds us that the Republican Party behind him is backed by powerful forces of banking and business that want things like unrestricted immigration and social liberalism.    John Roberts seeing to it that those forces are appeased in his recent rulings on LGBT employment, children of illegal immigrants and now abortion in his recent votes.

Another Supreme Court ruling today was a victory for President Trump.    The high court ruling that a consumer finance protection agency established during the Obama Administration was under his control.      Trump will now have the authority to fire the head of that agency.

In Louisville, Kentucky the protester who shot at other protesters Saturday night killing one is now charged with murder.    Stephen Lopez was wounded when other protesters returned fire.....THE INDEPENDENT UK NEWS STORY

The "Detroit Free Press" reporting that two protesters jumped onto the hood of a police vehicle in southwest Detroit while others surrounded it.    The police vehicle accelerated and threw off the protesters and vehicle sped away from the scene.    Those on the top of vehicle apparently not seriously hurt as they continued their protest march......DETROIT FREE PRESS STORY

Iran issuing an arrest warrant today for President Donald Trump and dozens of other US officials plus foreign nationals held responsible for the killing of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani in a US drone strike on January 3rd in Baghdad,  Iraq.    An Iranian prosecutor saying that Trump and the others "stand accused of murder and terrorism".    He is demanding that  Interpol issue and international arrest warrant for the President.....TASS NEWS STORY

A set of new coronavirus restrictions rolled out in Israel today attempting to strike some balance in the face of increased infections being reported.     Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his "Coronavirus Cabinet"  deciding that Weddings will have more leeway at 250 participants with some caveats but other religious gatherings like Funerals and Circumcisions, along with prayers and other gatherings will end up being limited to 50 people.....ISRAEL NATIONAL NEWS
