FRANCE YELLOW VESTS WEEK 85:
French police protests forced a government climb down from the notion of a ban on police use of choke holds following the murder of George Floyd in the United States. That move by the government last weekend was followed a few days later by the story of Cedric Chouviat.
Choviat reported to have said "I'm suffocating" in video seen by the media in France. The video showing police attempting to pin him down. He died in a hospital two days after his arrest during a traffic stop in January. Four police officers reported to have been questioned about what happened.
Hundreds of police gathered to protest at the Bataclan in Paris last night. That place the site of a massive terrorist attack. They again threw handcuffs onto the ground. Police actively pushing back against the campaign accusing them of violence and racism.
