FREEDOM CONVOY FORMING UP IN TROYES FRANCE LATE FRIDAY 2/11/2022
When the Yellow Vests first emerged in the fall of 2018 the movement driven by higher fuel taxes imposed in the name of combating 'climate change' and other grievances including government sale of highways to private companies that imposed tolls on the roads the movement spread quickly.
Hundreds of thousands on the streets of France a seemingly impossible situation for the government but eventually there were incidents of violence. Black uniformed anarchists showed up in the crowds in Paris causing damage.
Who sent them the topic of discussion with some including Marine Le Pen of the National Rally saying their activities played to the advantage of President Emmanuel Macron's government.
COVID became a major factor almost two years ago in keeping protest crowds off the streets.
This overall process of Yellow Vests decline broken by a few partial revivals and the revival inspired by imposition of passports in connection with COVID vaccination in recent months.
But now a new spark to the protest inspired by the trucker freedom convoys in Canada.
Various freedom convoys of more than 3000 vehicles from various directions reported by French authorities to be enroute to Paris this weekend with authorities led by the Prefect of Paris (Police Chief) banning the convoy.
Six months in prison and fine of 7500 euros ($8,511.75) promised to anyone who blocks highways.
These vehicles pulled out of Auxerre southeast of Paris at mid-day today...
BFM-TV reporting the interception of 450 vehicles by police in the Paris area who have confiscated gasoline and other items the police consider weapons or dangerous. 135 euro ($153.21) fines handed out on the spot.
Police were on the highways into Paris checking vehicles during the overnight hours into Saturday...This report from RT France...
Protesters have manifested themselves on the Champs Elysees near the Arc De Triomphe just after 1 pm today as seen in this RT France video report people standing and waving French flags among other things.

Police in Paris say they arrested at least 54 people today and ticketed 337 others in connection with the freedom convoy.
And they resorted to the use of tear gas as well....

A Yellow Vests-Health Freedom protest today on the Atlantic Coast in La Rochelle with 400 participants...
There were thousands protesting at the scheduled rallies opposing coerced vaccination and vaccine passports in Paris today these rallies separate from the Convoy of Freedom.

Police estimated 32,100 protesters nationwide and 7600 in Paris today. The demonstrations held at 149 locations.
The police noting they have deployed their "CR8" force designed to combat "urban violence" for the Convoy of Freedom in Paris.
The next moves of the Convoy of Freedom not certain right now but there has been stated an ultimate goal of entering the Belgian capital of Brussels Monday Brussels also the headquarters of the European Union.
The mayor there already banning the protest.
