NEWS SUMMARY-INTELLIGENCE REPORT THURSDAY 5/2-FRIDAY 5/3/2019

A Facebook crack down Thursday permanently banning a large number of people deemed "dangerous individuals" including activists-personalities like Info Wars Alex Jones British writer Paul Joseph Watson, Laura Loomer, formerly of "Project Veritas" and "Rebel Media", and Milo Yiannopoulos.

Others banned include Paul Nehlen, who ran for Congress in the Republican primary against former House Speaker Paul Ryan in 2016.

Minister Louis Farrakhan of the "Nation of Islam" also banned by Facebook.

(SPECIAL COMMENTARY:   The censorship move by Facebook comes on Holocaust Remembrance Day-May 2nd.   It does reflect the belief that "hate speech" led to that horrible event.

Forces in the business and political "Establishment" believe that censorship of speech must be undertaken including the enactment and enforcement of "hate crimes laws" to prevent violence up to and including genocide.)


"I do not wish to surrender myself for extradition for journalism that has won many awards and protected many people"


Those words spoken by Wikileaks founder Julian Assange via video link during his first extradition hearing in London's Westminster Magistrates Court Thursday.

The United States seeking to get Assange in connection with his work that included publicizing US military documents that reported civilian casualties caused by US forces in Iraq in 2007.

The next hearing for Assange will be held May 30th.

In Venezuela, two more protesters reported dead Thursday.   They were a 14-year old wounded Wednesday in Caracas and a 16 year old shot Tuesday in La Victoria.   One protester was already reported killed in Wednesday's protests.

Nicolas Maduro spoke in front of a group of soldiers to call for the military to defeat "any coup plotter'.   The Maduro regime and mainstream media reports point to the notion that Interim President Juan Guaido, president of the National Assembly, staged a "coup attempt" earlier this week.

Guaido called on the military to restore Constitutional government in the country Tuesday under the authority of his legitimate election, recognized by more than 50 nations.  That contrasts with what was seen as a rigged election process that put Maduro into power for another presidential term last year.

Was there an attempt by 30 some protesters to attack a Paris hospital on May Day?    That was the allegation of President Emmanuel Macron's Interior Minister Christophe Castaner fueling a news story that got worldwide attention.

But after 32 arrests and a judicial investigation it turns out the people involved were just trying to seek refuge in the hospital from the battle raging in the streets between police and protesters involving beatings and tear gas.

Some French politicians calling on Minister Castaner to resign because he lied and accusing him of spreading "fake news".

One civilian death and four injuries reported in the government controlled part of northern Syria Thursday following a rocket barrage from the jihadist group HTS, formerly Al-Qaeda in Syria.

The rockets aimed at the Russian airbase at Hmeimim.   Russia says the attack failed with no casualties at its base.

This attack comes after five civilians were reported dead in northern Syrian areas controlled by jihadists following Russian and Syrian airstrikes on the jihadist groups.

The jihadists targeted after repeated attacks on military civilian targets in Syrian government controlled territory and two recent attacks on the Russian airbase at Hmeimim

The Syrian "White Helmets" group providing reporting on those casualties.

One other thing, the Syrian government SANA news agency reporting in recent days that Turkey is providing assistance to the jihadist forces in the north.

Turkey's Foreign Minister says the date of a visit by President Trump is "not yet clear".

Relations between the US and Turkey are strained with Turkey set to take delivery of the advanced Russian S-400 air defense system in July.

The United States has suspended Turkish participation in the F-35 aircraft program in response to the purchase of the Russian weapons system.

The Senate failed to override President Trump's veto of a resolution calling for an end to US military support for the Saudi led military effort against the Houthi rebels in Yemen.

Four women's rights activists have been freed from prison in Saudi Arabia.    The terms of their release are not clear but they were part of a larger group of women's rights supporters arrested under the country's cyber crime law.

From the war in Libya, the Saudi backed Libyan National Army of self-proclaimed "Field Marshal" Khalifa Haftar making progress in its attack on capital city of Tripoli controlled by the United Nations backed Government of National Accord.

Local government councils being elected across the United Kingdom Thursday with early results indicating losses for the Conservative and Labor parties with gains for independents. Liberal Democrats, Greens and for the United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP).

More results will come in during the day Friday.

The Brexit Party of Nigel Farage not participating in these elections but the pro-Brexit United Kingdom Independence Party, UKIP, is involved along with the pro-Brexit  For Britain Movement.

Early results showed the anti-mass immigration, pro-free speech, pro-Brexit For Britain Movement gaining control of a couple of local council seats.

The President of the Republic of Georgia, which neighbors Russia,  won't be visiting the US later this year.    Private broadcaster "Rustavi 2" reported that President Salome Zourabichivli's visit to the US is cancelled.

The cancellation came after she told the Voice of America that construction of a US military base in her country is inadvisable and would be considered a provocation.

Opposition politicians have called for Zourabichivli's impeachment because of her opposition to the US military base.

Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh resigned Thursday amid an investigation into business deals for her self-published children's books.

Baltimore City Council was moving to remove Pugh from office when the resignation announcement came down.

Her lawyer read a statement where Pugh said she was "....sorry for the harm I have caused to the image of Baltimore and the credibility of the office....".

And that's the way it really is as we come into this Friday morning May 3rd, 2019.
