BREAKING NEWS: FRANCE YELLOW VESTS WEEK 28 ON A VERY POLITICAL WEEKEND WITH 12, 500 ACCORDING TO GOVERNMENT, 35,000 PLUS ACCORDING TO YELLOW VESTS
(THIS POST WILL BE UPDATED INTO SATURDAY EVENING WITH A WRAPUP)
(FRIDAY EVENING)
24 hours before France goes to the polls in the European Parliament elections the Yellow Vests will again take to the streets of France.
The numbers are down. Both the government and the Yellow Vests Facebook "The Yellow Number" agree but their statistics are vastly different.
15,500 if you believe the government's version of Week 27 but 42,128 at 274 locations according to the Yellow Vests number.
What will the numbers be this week remains to be seen.
On the political front National Rally leader Marine Le Pen appealed for Yellow Vests support during the past week arguing that opponents of President Emmanuel Macron can send him a clear message by voting for her party on Sunday.
Le Pen said that Macron:
"is already behaving in a totalitarian way"
She also took a swipe at the Left party in France of Jean-Luc Melenchon dubbing his "Insubordinate France" Party as:
"Islamist France"
Latest polling data from five sources shows a two percentage point lead for the National Rally of Le Pen over the La Republique En March party of President Emmanuel.

The situation in Paris today will be much like the usual norm with bans on protest on the Champs-Elysees and at Notre Dame Cathedral.
Protests in the city planned on social media.
But Jerome Rodrigues, media figure of the Yellow Vests, injured in the eye by police during an earlier protest is promoting the notion of a surprise protest in Paris this Saturday.
Protests not announced in advance are considered illegal in France.

The government's estimate for Week 28 is 12,500 Yellow Vests protesters but the "Yellow Number" on Facebook put the number at 35,104.
In Paris the government says that 2,100 were involved in the protests.
A group of hundred or so people without Yellow Vests were trying to approach the forbidden area of protest on the Champs-Elysees and the Place de l'Etoile surrounding the Arc de Triomphe.
The police moved in and used tear gas to disperse the group honoring a social media call for an undeclared protest.
Some anarchists interjected themselves into the main protest in Paris when it ended late in the afternoon. Also a blockade was attempted by several dozen protesters with barricades at the Place of the Bastille around 7 pm.
At Amiens the government's estimate was 1,200 for what was billed as a major protest today. The organizers estimate some 2,000.
