BREAKING NEWS:  ACT 8 OF THE YELLOW VESTS PROTEST IN FRANCE

(LATEST NEWS AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST)

(330 AM UPDATE, 930 AM IN PARIS)

The harsh language of President Emmanuel Macron calling Yellow Vests  racists and anti-Semites and homophobes in essence by calling them the forces of "hate" and his call for order "without compromise" aroused feeling in their own right Monday night when he spoke them on New Year's Eve.

But then Wednesday night when Eric Drouet attempted to stage a protest with a group of others he and some 31 other people were arrested by police in the center of Paris further feelings were aroused to fuel what will be happening in the coming hours, the 8th straight weekend of protest in France.

The others arrested have complained to France's "Defender of Rights" asking for an investigation to be launched into the attack on their "freedom of demonstration".

A protest is set for Paris starting at 4am Eastern time in the US, 10am in Paris.

Other cities are also sites for Yellow Vests demonstrations today including Bordeaux in the southwest to Strasbourg in the east of France, in south of France at Toulon, at La Rochelle on the Atlantic Coast and other locations.
