Activist Kelli Stewart was at Glamour Salon in Salem, Oregon last week getting her illegal haircut as owner Lindsey Graham took a stand for freedom in the face of the martial law restrictions in Oregon. 
That notion of what these "states of emergency" mean is something we should understand.   They are de-facto "martial law"....


And I will add that my head is a little lighter now.......



Tearing apart the insanity of all this in the context of the United Kingdom is Peter Hitchens tearing into the insanity of Boris Johnson.      Donald Trump has praised and will praise the hell out of Mr. Johnson as he brings the UK into line with hostility to China which I guess is not aimed at war but at something much more important........$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$........to bail out the nations impacted by the coronavirus since China bears responsibility we are told for the present economy destroying situation.



But getting back to Hitchens his column this last weekend starts this way:



"We will not escape this misery until the Government has been forced to admit that it made a foolish mistake and over-reacted wildly to Covid-19.



The Prime Minister is like a man who sets fire to his own pyjamas, while he is wearing them, to cure himself of the hiccups.



Now he stands naked and scorched, as his house burns around him, and  exults that his hiccups have indeed gone away.   This is what I mean by getting things out of proportion.



Above all, he must stop pretending that his actions saved us from deaths that never happened, and people must stop believing this evidence-free bilge.


Till that moment comes, months and perhaps years of costly, painful stupidity will follow,   The belief that the Panic Policy worked means it can never fully end.   If, and when, you go back to your job-if you still have a job-you will be compelled to abide by ludicrous, impractical rules.  You will be forced to wear pointless muzzles on trains and buses.



Normal life will be virtually impossible.  Previously simple actions will be endlessly complicated and expensive.   And while this farce continues, businesses will continue to close and jobs continue to vanish, visiting misery and sickness on millions.



I  HAVE SEEN THIS BEFORE IN THE OLD COMMUNIST WORLD, A MAD, FIXED IDEA PURSUED BY DENSE MEN RELENTLESSLY AND WITHOUT OPPOSITION OR THOUGHT, UNTIL THE WHOLE THING COLLAPSES OR EXPLODES.    NOW I SEE IT HERE......"

People like Peter Hitchens in the UK, Ammon Bundy here in the USA and Gavin Seim down in Mexico have been consistent from the beginning.     The coronavirus martial law stay-at-home lockdown restrictions were wrong then when they were first imposed, are wrong now and will be wrong in the future.




Republicans and Democrats here in the USA  seek to manipulate the restrictions and play political games with them while people like those I mention above have a consistency that our politicians don't.


You got the Sioux tribes in South Dakota who vote for Democrats setting up roadblocks to challenge the Republican governor,  you got local Republicans pushing the envelope but only so far to open businesses with restrictions a few weeks ahead of the Democrat governors or even the Republican ones in some cases to look good with voters etc etc etc.



WHAT DO BILL DEBLASIO AND BENJAMIN NETANYAHU HAVE IN COMMON DURING THE DICTATORSHIP OF COVID-19?



Both the New York Mayor and the Israeli Prime Minister have imposed regimes of control on Orthodox Jewish communities under their rule.



They are both operating in fear of the spread of Covid-19 in implementing their policies of control.

Whatever it is, its happening all over the place including the area where I live.     I drove past one of two 24-hour diners in York, Pennsylvania yesterday called "Round The Clock" and saw all the cars there as both diners opened up to dine-in service for Mothers Day violating the order of Governor Tom Wolf here in PA.


The diners following some guidelines including asking customers to wear masks......


The local District Attorney here saying he will not enforce any restrictions but warning that the state could use their powers against any business that chooses to open.
