FRANCE YELLOW VESTS WEEK 79:  LIMITED LOOSENING OF HOUSE ARREST

Public opinion polling during the Covid-19 situation in France reveals the continued unpopularity of President Emmanuel Macron that fueled the original Yellow Vests protests in the fall of 2018.

But it also claims a rise in popularity to somewhere around 50 percent for the Premier Edouard Philippe, appointed to his post by Macron.

Macron visited a the Pitie-Salpetriere Hospital in Paris Friday and found himself confronted by two nurses concerned about working conditions.

At one point Macron was told:

"We no longer believe in you"

The rules in France included the notion that no more than 10 people can gather but some did gather in spite of the police attempts to stop it.
