Protests and looting continued today and into the night in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area following the police killing of George Floyd.     One person now reported dead in the sometimes violent confrontations.   That person killed last night in the area of the protests with a suspect in custody.



Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey calling for calm and assistance from the National Guard.   GOVERNOR TIM WALZ CALLING UP THE GUARD LATE THIS AFTERNOON WITH 500 MEMBERS ACTIVATED......



Bus service being suspended this afternoon in Minneapolis.   All bus and commuter rail service suspended through the weekend.



Another Target store looted today, this time in the city of St. Paul.      Target closing 24 stores in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area........MINNEAPOLIS STAR-TRIBUNE

Late tonight fires set in both Minneapolis and St. Paul with large numbers of protesters on the streets in both cities.



The Third Precinct police station near where Floyd was killed torched late tonight by the protesters......

President Trump signing an executive order regarding social media in response to Twitter's move to "fact-check" a Presidential tweet on voter fraud earlier this week.
