The U.S. Supreme Court rules in favor of coronavirus restrictions on religious services but first.....

Peaceful protests started in US cities large and small on Saturday afternoon over the death of George Floyd.      Floyd died after Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin put his knee on Floyd's neck a week ago today.

Those protests led to marches and confrontations with police and or many incidents of vandalism, arson and looting in those cities across the United States as afternoon gave way to evening and night.

Dozens of cities involved including large ones like New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Washington DC.     Others like Miami, Seattle, Cincinnati and Nashville.      And yet others ranging from Charlotte, North Carolina to Reno, Nevada to Fargo, North Dakota and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

In Portland, Oregon police launched attacks to drive protesters off the streets as soon as they had gathered....OREGON LIVE NEWS STORY

In Minneapolis after several nights of protest that led to arson and looting a massive military-law enforcement operation to attack and drive people off the streets last night.    Tear gas, pepper spray and drawn weapons reported to have been used......MINNEAPOLIS STAR-TRIBUNE NEWS STORY...reporters among those injured in the police attacks....

National Guard mobilization and deployment now underway in numerous states with a major deployment in Los Angeles this morning.......ABC 7 LOS ANGELES STORY

Many arrests and injuries associated with the conflict across the country yesterday and into the night.....

And incidents of violence and vandalism, looting etc. continued across the country late this afternoon and into the evening in Chicago and Philadelphia and other cities.......Fires set near the White House tonight with protesters again on the streets.....This was the scene near the White House as reported by Australia's Nine Network just after 7 pm tonight....VIDEO LINK

Police swooped down and made 150 arrests of protesters in Minneapolis this evening...and on I-35 in Minneapolis a truck drove into a crowd of protesters and stopped.    The driver arrested.....MINNEAPOLIS STAR-TRIBUNE

ISRAEL'S DEFENSE MINISTER BENNY GANTZ OFFERING UP AN APOLOGY TODAY FOR THE ISRAELI POLICE SHOOTING OF AN UNARMED, AUTISTIC PALESTINIAN MAN.

IYAD HALAK GUNNED DOWN AS HE WALKED TO A SCHOOL FOR SPECIAL NEEDS STUDENTS.   POLICE SAID HE WAS SUSPICIOUS AND APPEARED TO HAVE A GUN.

NO WEAPON WAS FOUND.    GANTZ SAYS THE INCIDENT WILL BE QUICKLY INVESTIGATED AND 'CONCLUSIONS WILL BE REACHED'......
