A US citizen jailed in Russia on espionage charges is back in prison after undergoing emergency surgery. Paul Whelan, who hold citizenship from three other nations, underwent surgery Thursday for an inguinal hernia. THE US NINTH CIRCUIT COURT OF APPEALS HEARD TWO APPEALS TODAY IN SAN FRANCISCO IN CONNECTION WITH THE APRIL 2014 BUNKERVILLE STANDOFF NEAR BUNDY RANCH IN NEVADA.
THE FIRST APPEAL THAT OF THE US JUSTICE DEPARTMENT SEEKING TO REINSTATE CHARGES AGAINST KEY DEFENDANTS IN THE CASE INCLUDING CLIVEN AND AMMON BUNDY. A US DISTRICT JUDGE THREW OUT THE CHARGES OVER GROSS MISCONDUCT BY FEDERAL PROSECUTORS.

Fired Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin arrested today. He's charged with third degree murder and manslaughter in the death of George Floyd. Chauvin was seen in videos resting his knee on Floyd's neck after he was arrested and handcuffed Sunday. Floyd became unconscious and died Monday. He's being charged by the Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman. Chauvin in the Ramsey County Jail.
A federal investigation into Chauvin continues. The move by local authorities comes following protests in the greater Minneapolis area that have become increasingly violent with demonstrators demanding justice for Floyd.

This week the US Justice Department dropping investigations into three US Senators over insider trading related to knowledge about the coronavirus situation. The Senators inolved Republicans Kelly Loeffler of Georgia and James Inhofe of Oklahoma along with Democrat Diane Feinstein of California.

These conversations before Flynn assumed his post part of the Russian collusion investigation that led to the prosecution and conviction of Flynn.

Police in the UK are saying that any violation of house arrest lockdown rules by a key aide to British Prime Minster Boris Johnson would have been a "minor" one. That opinion being offered by Durham Police over the 250 plus mile trip taken by Dominic Cummings in spite of the coronavirus emergency rules .
