Music Link:

Not here to be distracted by all the online rage but observations looking back at the last week as I've traveled across the heartland and seen some things along the way.

Is it a Buck Rogers world of skyscraper cities surrounded by gutted out rural areas?

Those who think about things like Agenda 21 and such see a master plan to reorder society and the use of the land.

Some folks around Pella, Iowa are fighting what one sign calls:

"Eminent Domain for Corporate Gain"

Its about the building of a "regional airport" in Mahaska County, Iowa.

There'a a Facebook page about this issue.....

Wow, the spending and debt continues in Washington DC regardless of the White House occupant.

Republicans providing 65 House votes and the Democrats the rest as the deal to spend more and increase the national debt more gets passed.

"Reason" magazine has more.....LINK

President Trump in on this deal and his economic adviser Larry Kudlow offers the reasoning in favor of the wheeling and dealing noting it isn't perfect.....

"IF YOU COULD READ MY MIND"-GORDON LIGHTFOOT

Peter Hitchens warning his readers not to be "duped" by the cheerfulness of the new Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

"If Dooming and Glooming were bad, then the worst offended in British history was one Winston Churchill, supposedly the hero of our new premier"

part of the Hitchens scribble for this week.  Read more at his blog.....

If you want to read more cynicism regarding Mr. Johnson another link ahead.    Nigel Farage and the Brexit Party ask if Johnson really means it about Brexit and that's part of the mix in Peter Hitchens estimation of the man.   He wrote this piece about Johnson:

"MR. BOJANGLES"-NITTY GRITTY DIRT BAND

"ROSE GARDEN"-LYNN ANDERSON

"PURE LOVE"-RONNIE MILSAP

Wow...Ronnie Milsap's music very prominent in country music as I listened to it growing up in the 1970's.

Keeping things short tonight as the vacation continues but in the here and now a thousand or more arrested in Moscow today as the opposition forces protest illegally about signature requirements to get on the ballot for local elections.

Well, that's Moscow, Russia.

I still remember the Pennsylvania Republicans wanted to keep someone from challenging Pat Toomey in the GOP US Senate Primary so they rigged the signature process to a candidate having to get signatures from all 67 counties in Pennsylvania, a requirement completely different from the requirement for other statewide offices.

Russia's President  Vladimir Putin will meet French President Emmanuel Macron on August 19th in France.

In Hong Kong the hired mobs attacking pro-democratic forces last Sunday and this Saturday's protest against the attack banned by police who employed tear gas to put it down.

Another Houthi drone strike from Yemen into southern Saudi Arabia.   The story from "Southfront"....LINK

When you're online in Iowa the ads come up for everybody and their cousin running for President of the United States, that's for sure.

Good Night.   God Bless You.    Hope you find the sanity and sobriety out there.  I have no choice but to do the right thing in every moment that I draw breath.
