FRANCE YELLOW VESTS WEEK 35: THE BASTILLE DAY WEEKEND
It is indeed a major holiday weekend in France with Sunday being Bastille Day and the traditional parade down the Champs-Elysees.
But the Champs-Elysees was banned from use by Yellow Vests protesters many months ago after the destructive activities of the black uniformed anarchists of the "black blocs".
The "Yellow Number" Facebook page has cut back to listing the locations of protests rather than providing numbers during July and August, months of vacations and disruption of normal activities.
The scandal of Francois de Rugy, the Minister of Ecology in President Emmanuel Macron's government, has played out in these pre-holiday days as scandals often do to dampen their impact.
The story of housing privileges, of cars and drivers, of extravagant meals and of not paying taxes in 2015 all rolled out under the cover of the holiday season.
All this prompting Yellow Vests activist Jerome Rodrigues to tweet:

Getting back to the protest in Paris, a one point riot police charged into the Gare De Lyon train station to drive Yellow Vests out.....LINK
Riot police also charged into Yellow Vests on other occasions including one where apparently they took down and took into custody a "black bloc" anarchist carrying a backpack....LINK
Police also using tear gas at one point on Yellow Vests protesters. Yellow Vest medics intervened to help those seriously affected by the gas.....LINK
