I remember only a handful of popular songs from the 1960's but this one stood out for its stark message of humanity being absorbed in science and technology.
Perhaps a song too close in a sense to the truth we live today.

They filled 24 plus hours with the landing on the surface July 20th and the first steps on the moon early on the morning of July 21st.
Filling those hours segments like the interviews with noted science fiction writers Arthur C. Clarke and Robert Heinlein.

I grew up watching the Fairness Doctrine in action aimed at the Right from the Republican controlled Federal Communications Commission.
In the days of Richard Nixon "right-wing" radio preacher Dr. Carl McIntire had his radio station shut down for the crime of wanting a military victory in the Vietnam War.
The liberals complained to the FCC about his radio station being one sided and for its purposes the Nixon FCC took the radio station off the air.
Back in the Nixon days the MSM targeted with a Fairness Doctrine complaint against NBC News over a pensions documentary that got watered down a bit on court appeals with NBC's lawyers and deep pockets helping.
In the modern day, in the here and now, it isn't just conservatives who are being shut down on social media.

History repeats itself but seriously the radio preacher back then coined a phrase and it works in the cyber age were are in.

On the Left, the Right, we are all targets for the government, political, business establishment etc.
The lesson demonstrated vividly Thursday night at Belmarsh Prison in London where Tommy Robinson is imprisoned for exercising his free speech.
Another prisoner brought into the cell above his followed by a conversation out the windows.
The other prisoner Tommy talked to none other than Julian Assange, Wikileaks founder, jailed for exposing the dark side of the war in Iraq fought by the American military for the sake of Saudi Arabia it appears to me. Lets honor those who served but not put our heads in the sand about what was really going on in the end.

British Airways cancelling flights to Cairo for a week and the German airline Lufthansa cancelling flights for one day that being Saturday. British Airways citing security concerns.
And to Iran and the British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt saying his conversation with his Iranian counterpart Foreign Minister Javad Zarif went badly.
Some reports claim the UK is considering freezing Iranian assets in retaliation for seizure of the British owned tanker.
But behind the UK is the US and Mr. Zarif sees the UK as a lackey of the US and their action to take the Iranian tanker off Gibraltar on July 4th proving subservience to Washington.

Did they want to create this situation in London and or Washington?
The retired military attache and intelligence officer Colonel Pat Lang at "Sic Semper Tryannis" blog reposted Friday a story told to him by former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich about Japan's reasoning to go to war in 1941.
