It was 30 year ago today the official date being June 4th, 1989. It was a Saturday when events came down in Beijing as I think everyone expected them to. Communism is Communism.

I was in the MSM myself at the time supervising news coverage in a local setting and there was the lead story for that weekend. A horrible event that the regime wants us to forget but let us remember.
They made a movie Down Under a "Red Dawn" Australian setting not too many year ago but the enemy invading the country was a little more shadowy but the picture shadowy as it was pointed in the direction of the People's Republic of China.

Italian politics and Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte trying to put the brakes on Matteo Salvini saying he will resign if political campaigning doesn't stop in the country. It seems Salvini has been governing with a continuous campaign like Obama and Trump have governed in the USA in the last decade.
Conte the Prime Minister a law professor but supporter of the other governing party, the Five Star Movement, reacting to the European Election results which shifted the numbers giving the League and Salvini one-third of the popular vote with the Five Stars reduced to one-sixth popular support.
Five Star still has one-third of Parliament till the next national election in Italy so Conte leveraging his party's strength to firing a warning shot of sorts at Salvini who could coming out of the next election if he wins enough support ditch the Five Star Movement in favor of corporatist, globalist mainstream political allies.
Silvio Berlusconi could become Salvini's partner with his Fortza Italia and along with the Mussolini followers of the Brothers of Italy give Salvini a parliamentary majority after the next Italian election.
