FRANCE YELLOW VESTS WEEK 33: PROTESTS IN THE HEAT WITH JUST OVER 10,000 ESTIMATED BY YELLOW VESTS, FEWER THAN 6,000 BY GOVERNMENT
Its been an a week of extreme heat in France and this Saturday temperatures in Paris around 99 degrees Fahrenheit or 37 degrees Celsius.
Other locations in France south and west of Paris at or above 40 degrees Celsius or 104 degrees Fahrenheit amidst the heat wave.
Perhaps the heat contributed to what appears to be a halving of the number of Yellow Vests this week.
The first "Yellow Number" Facebook estimate is of 10,224 participants, roughly half the number estimated last Saturday. The government estimate is 5,769 participants.
In Paris Yellow Vests gathering at 1230 pm local time (630 am Eastern US) for a 2 pm (8 am Eastern US) departure time for the Week 33 procession. The police say 1300 participated.
The Paris march starting at the Porte de Clichy and heading through the northern part of the city
For a brief time an intersection was blocked but the procession moved on. Summer clothing including yellow shirts instead of vests and riot police also visible in short sleeves.

On this Saturday before the Fourth of July, Independence Day in the United States, an American theme in the midst of the Paris gathering of Yellow Vests as Old Glory was waved in the midst of the crowd being displayed upside down in the American tradition of displaying the Stars and Stripes upside down as a sign of crisis, of trouble. Also in that video at the beginning the use of smoke in the midst of the protest. Evidence of the presence of anarchist "black blocs" in the midst of the Yellow Vests it appears but the version on Twitter from the Yellow Vests themselves is that the smoky images on this video are the use of tear gas by the police.

Also today, some 500 Yellow Vests reported in Lille in the north of France and 200 in Bordeaux in the southwest. Media reports speak of a hundred Yellow Vests at Montpellier. Lyon also the site of a Yellow Vests gathering.....LYON YELLOW VESTS ACTE 33

A ban on protest reported in Reims with 18 arrested and nine kept in custody.
