And the Yellow Vests protests continued in France over the weekend with reduced attendance and the anarchist "black blocs" focusing their efforts on Toulouse with the police charging in, using tear gas and so on.

The government said only 7000 including 950 in Paris participated but the "Yellow Number" Facebook had a different accounting system pointing to 181 protests and 18500 participants which was their final count Sunday after posting a higher number of over 20000 on Saturday.

Some English mixed in with the French on that Facebook page talking about a re-evaluation of what's next and where the Yellow Vests movement should go into the future.

Quebec's National Assembly in a rare Sunday session passing a secularism bill clearly aimed at Islamic influence in the province but drawing some robust debate with plenty of controversy and media hype etc.etc.   The legislation a centerpiece of the new administration of the CAQ political party in the province.

You read about the fears of "secularism police" in this CBC MSM spin but Canada already has "secularism policing" with its "hate crimes" laws  IMHO regardless of the truth or fiction in the allegations of the bill's opponents.

I visited Montreal in 2015 and one can see Islamic influences in that city distinctive from lets say Ottawa or even Toronto which were also on my itinerary.   There are strong feeling among the Quebecois who remain about what's happening around them.

I was asked by a Quebecois back in 2015 why I was in Montreal and I recall telling him my presence was for tourism to revisit the site associated with the Expo 67 World's Fair I visited as a child.

I haven't been everywhere but I've seen a lot in the last five years or so to be sure.    One place I haven't been is the Persian Gulf and Iran which is where a lot of attention is being directed at tonight.

The latest word is that 1-thousand more US military personnel are en route to the region.

New photos out tonight as expected in the quarters where I've been reading and the "Jerusalem Post" published a piece about the notion that the US will launch a big attack on a single Iranian target in the coming days quoting United Nations's sources in New York as reported by Israel's "Maariv" newspaper.

If Iran is behind the tanker attacks then its pursuing a limited pressurization hoping to get the other nations of the world like the EU and Russia and China to come to their side of the dispute.

Energy supplies for China and Japan at stake here plus the European countries in any shutdown of Persian Gulf oil.

The link below is to a website which publishes restrained analyses but has over the top commentators offering comments which you may find and I sometimes find offensive.

It isn't a "Fox News" analysis to be sure:
