To sum up today, a reduced number of protesters in France today on Week 29 of the Yellow Vests protests as the country moves into the summer months, a traditional slowdown time.
The calls for Macron to resign, for a citizens initiative referendum (RIC), the left-wing anti-capitalist slogans and flags mixed in the crowd as well.
The political process played itself out last weekend and the left-wing is weakened and divided between the old school and those who are obsessed with "climate change" which is a driving force behind the unpopular Macron policies of raising gasoline taxes that helped ignite the Yellow Vests protests.
Ahead of last weekend's European Parliament elections Marine Le Pen of the National Rally made her appeal to Yellow Vests in particular and the opponents of Macron in general and cemented her position as the leading opposition force in French politics, capable of achieving for now at least 43-44 percent of the popular vote in the second round runoff with Emmanuel Macron in the 2022 presidential election.

It appears that the political power of the Yellow Vests distributed among the various opposition parties to President Emmanuel Macron.
