Some action on the Syria-Israel border region in the Golan Heights today with an Israeli shelling attack on Syrian night vision capabilities in the area.

A drone launched the attack according to the Syrians.

Why it happened and what if anything happens next isn't clear?

One late report (Tuesday) points to Iranian officers being killed in the attack.

Perhaps it was a singular event to send Iran a message on the 40th anniversary of the revolution that brought in the present regime.
