BREAKING NEWS:   FRANCE YELLOW VESTS PROTESTS SATURDAY FEBRUARY 9TH  (WEEK 13)

(2AM EASTERN US TIME, 8AM IN FRANCE)

After a week where Italian support for the Yellow Vests has been in the news, the Franco-Italian border is a site of Yellow Vests protest today along with a host of cities in France from Rouen to Strasbourg and from Toulouse to Rennes.

Paris also the site of a procession set to get underway at 1030 am this morning.

When Luigi Di Maio the Deputy Prime Minister of Italy met with Yellow Vests this week it reminded us that his Five Star Movement in Italy represents a strong reform movement against establishment politicians with left of center credentials like Emmanuel Macron, ex-Socialist Party politician.

Its become increasingly obvious there is fake "Left" as well as a fake "Right" in mainstream politics that ends up hurting the standard of living for working people to benefit multinational business that wants no sovereign borders between nations.

These big corporations, banks etc etc. want cheap labor and so they promote women in the workforce, LGBTQ people in the workforce and so on not because they care about any of them, but because a larger workforce equals lower wages.

The Italian government has pointed out that the flood of potential additions to the labor force in Europe through migration is the result of destabilization of countries like Libya for which the business as usual governments like France's bear responsibility for.

Italy's Interior Minister Matteo Salvini, also Deputy Prime Minister and leader of the League planning a meeting with his French counterpart, Interior Minister Christophe Castaner, in the coming week to talk out the migration mess.

France withdrew its ambassador from Italy on Thursday to protest against Italy's support of the Yellow Vests and on Friday was balking at taking in more migrants.

We've had a diversion from the Yellow Vests protests in France with Friday's fire at the country home of the President of the National Assembly, Richard Ferrand.    Ferrand is a leader of President Macron's "En Marche" Party.

There's a police investigation and universal condemnation of the apparent arson attack and that includes all leading opposition politicians including Marine Le Pen of the National Rally.

(730 AM EASTERN, 130 PM IN FRANCE)

The procession in Paris got underway around the middle of the day, later than the 1030 am time I gave earlier.

Signs of many kinds among the Yellow Vests including one about the Minister of the Interior, the cabinet minister in charge of police in France.    He is Christophe Castaner.

It read translated, "Castaner, Minister of Terror".

Earlier protesters were reported to be attempting to scale barriers at the National Assembly.

Police used tear gas on the demonstrators there.

The "black blocks" militants were there people who Marine Le Pen, leader of the National Rally, has suggested are being allowed into the Yellow Vests protests by the government to discredit them with acts of violence.

Demonstrators calling for the former bodyguard of Emmanuel Macron, who dressed up as a policeman and attacked demonstrators at a May Day protest last year, Alexandre Benalla, to be put in jail.

(840 AM EASTERN, 240 PM IN FRANCE)

When clashes took place at the National Assembly in Paris earlier one protestor is said to had his hand "torn off" by a police grenade.   He was identified as a Yellow Vests photographer.  Two injured and 10 arrested in Paris as of now....

Signs calling for the Citizen Referendum Initiative and exit from the European Union are said to be among hundreds protesting in Bordeaux today.

Protests beyond Paris all over France today.

For now this post is ending.

A full wrap up tonight on the blog.
