FRANCE LATEST:  MARINE LE PEN SAYS MACRON  RESPONSIBLE FOR YELLOW VESTS, THREATENING DEMOCRACY WITH ANTI-PROTEST LAWS

"He does not want to come out of the crisis, his revelations to the journalists say a lot, he thinks the Yellow Vests are manipulated from abroad, its conspiracy and it's worrying.....There is a will never to question, it is always everyone else except him"

National Rally Leader Marine Le Pen Speaks About Emmanuel Macron And The Yellow Vests Crisis With BFM-TV 2/3/2019

France's leading opposition politician, Marine Le Pen of the National Rally,  sees President Emmanuel Macron's management of the Yellow Vests protests as something based on "paranoia" and notions of "conspiracy" against him.

Le Pen spoke with BFM-TV in France today (Sunday).

In her television appearance on a weekly politics program, she called for dissolution of the National Assembly and new elections.    Le Pen also endorsed the RIC (Citizen Initiative Referendum) to change laws by petition.   And the National Rally leader said National Assembly representation should be proportional instead of by district seats to make it more representative of public opinion.

As for the violence at the Yellow Vests protests,  Marine Le Pen questioned the government's motives in the incidents and pointed to Interior Minister Christophe Castaner as someone enabling it.

"Castaner let the black blocks come to sow violence in the demonstrations....Saturday it was the Yellow Vests who revolted against them.    The black blocs came for violence, they have been doing it for years in a form of impunity, one wonders if the government does not find a form of interest"

She also noted that punitive measures proposed against protests by the government including bans on individuals and entire protests are "unconstitutional":

"It is the end of democracy as we defend it"

She said any violence at protests can be dealt with by existing laws.
