PROTEST IN PARIS TODAY OF YELLOW VESTS OPPOSING GOVERNMENT POLICIES INCLUDING VACCINE MANDATES RELATED TO COVID
On Thursday as railroad workers staged a nationwide strike and protest opposing him, French President Emmanuel Macron tried to work on his unpopularity with a visit to a group of teachers.
Macron promising net pay increases of between 100 and 230 euros ($109.70 and $252.31) a month.
Pots and pans clanged across France Monday evening as Macron made his "move on" speech seeking to change the subject from his imposition of pension reform without a legislative vote.
Police banned such protests in a number of communities Monday night (Dijon, Marseille) and when Macron made his visit to the teachers on Thursday local authorities imposed a ban on all noise making activity around him.
During the week mainstream media outlet BFM-TV published a piece about "How We Deal With Violence" which discusses the reporting of acts of violence.
This illustrates the continuing attempt to promote the notion that the protests against Macron and his policies are extreme and violent.
January 6th type actors anarchists continue to make their presence known on the fringes of the huge peaceful protests that have taken place in France in recent months regarding pension reform.
There are fires and confrontations with police tear gas and a few arrests.
Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne trying to appear reasonable on Friday as local authorities in three communities she visited banned public demonstrations.
Borne claiming that there should be dialogue with union leaders leading the protest against the pension reform she and Mr. Macron refuse to back down from as demanded by the unions.

In southern France today an environmentalist protest opposing the new A69 roadway drew thousands with mainstream media suggesting that radical elements were threatening violence.
Local authorities say 4500 participated with the organizers estimating 8200...
