The latest day of mass protest and strikes against pension reform in France Thursday brought out two million participants to demonstrate in the streets according to labor union organizers.    The government claiming that only 570,000 participated.

French politics this week included the controversy over junior cabinet minister Marlene Schiappa posing for the cover of Playboy magazine in a risque way.    She is also giving a 12-page interview sharing her Feminist LGBTQ rights views...NEW YORK POST (ARTICLE MAY BE DISTRUBING)

Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne and host of other politicians from the government and left-wing opposition were critical of her.

Meanwhile Elabe commissioned a poll about what a Presidential Election would look like if there was one in France right now and Marine Le Pen of the National Rally came out a winner in both a first round and decisive second round contest.

In the first round Le Pen besting Emmanuel Macron 31 to 23 percent with Left leader Jean-Luc Melenchon at 18.5 percent.     A second round contest would see Le Pen victorious over Macron 55-45 percent.

Another public opinion survey released Thursday by Elabe said that only 25 percent of those polled trust Mr. Macron and that 22 percent trust Prime Minister Borne.    71 percent distrust Macron with 43 percent saying they do not trust him at all.

Mr. Macron in China for a three-day visit this week with economic possibilities said to be on the agenda.   Macron meeting President Xi Jinping and other top leaders.  It's also being said that Macron was trying to "pry China away from Russia" in mainstream media reporting.  Xi Jinping not budging from his position on Ukraine that tensions surrounding it need to be reduced so talks can begin to seek peace.

On Friday the Prime Minister made comments where she seemed to disagree with Emmanuel Macron only to switch her comments later on to agree with the President.   It all seemed to add to a sense of confusion in the government.

Getting back to the poll results mentioned earlier reporting 71 percent distrust in Macron some 55 percent of those polled said there is less freedom in France since Mr. Macron became President.

One person seeing less freedom in France with the new legislation banning close-in filming of police using violence on protesters is Scottish archaeologist Neil Oliver.

Oliver spoke on GB News last weekend saying that the current pension protests in France are the continuation of the Yellow Vests movement.

His comments regarding Emmanuel Macron and France begin at 2:45 into the video...
