LE PEN'S NATIONAL RALLY EXCEEDS PROJECTIONS


Today the second round of voting for France's National Assembly.   Only five of the 577 seats were decided in the first round but today the remainder were determined.


President Emmanuel Macron off his April victory in the presidential election seeking to again win a majority in the separate election for the National Assembly but failing tonight his party fell short of most polling projections prior to today's vote.



247 seats of the 577 won by Macron's "Together" Party alliance with 61 for the Mainstream "Les Republicans" who will likely support Macron on many issues.



The alliance on the "Left" NUPES winning 147 seats this number also short of polling projections before the election.


Exceeding polling projections prior to tonight the National Rally of Marine Le Pen winning some 90 seats.


Le Pen winning election in her northern French seat in Pas-de- Calais region with some 61 percent of the vote.
