A minister from Qatar handed a note to India's ambassador stating that:
"these insulting remarks would lead to incitement of religious hatred, and offend more than two billion Muslims around the world"
The note wants India's government to give:
"a public apology and immediate condemnation of these remarks"...
(COMMENT) Is India getting beat on for not toeing the line on Russian sanctions? Is this another US-British initiative to hurt and isolate Russia over Ukraine by pressurizing India?
US officials and other non-governmental sources have expressed concern about increasing persecution of non-Hindus in India that is certain regardless.
Let's not discount the situation in Pakistan where former Prime Minister Imran Khan is challenging the current government accusing India and Israel and the US of having a hand in his ouster.
