The story from Melbourne is that police are surrounding the protesters at one location but there are apparently two separate groups of protesters on the streets.

Police pushed some people down but protesters continue to move on their feet and trying to get around and away from the extensive police presence in the Richmond area of Melbourne.

This video appears to show a large and unified group perhaps the separate groups had a plan to reunify.
The Melbourne protest continues to stay mobile to avoid police, to avoid confrontation.
It remains in the hundreds of people.

The announcement is that this group moving will meet another protest group also on the move in Melbourne.
The crowd acknowledged by a truck on the street with it horn blaring and some in the crowd expressing their disgust with Victoria Premier Daniel Andrews...

Now a police line in front of the demonstration. And yes the potential for confrontation now rising.
The protesters ended up in a canyon with rocky embankments on either side of the street.
The video narrator sees police clearly as the aggressors seeking confrontation with their constant attempts to blockade and trap the protesters.
And now a headlong charge of protesters through the smaller line of police blocking the one end of the protest march.
The two hour protest period is now approaching its end.
Protesters on the move with a honk coming from a bus along the route.
The situation is that the Melbourne protests today according to the reporter on the latest video stream probably four to five thousand people involved the change in protest location reported earlier resulted in a bigger group splitting up into smaller groups.
Less Pepper Spray used today on the protesters by the police due to the protesters mobility.

heard from the crowd the woman now jailed in Victoria accused of 'incitement" and held on bail conditions that would force her to stop her opposition to vaccine passports, forced vaccination and lockdowns.
Her case going to the Supreme Court in Victoria next Wednesday.

As we mentioned earlier the protesters were able to stay mobile in the group we followed on the second live video stream from Facebook.
This video clip shows the protesters in that "canyon" I alluded to earlier making they charge through a small line of police to escape the trap.

Melbourne was the scene of protest on Friday as construction workers protested COVID restrictions aimed at them by Victoria's government. They shut down "tea rooms" operated at construction sites for workers so the workers brought their "tea rooms" onto Melbourne streets Friday.
