THE STORY OF THE WEEK, AT LEAST THE GOOD STORY OF THE WEEK DESCRIBED ON YOU TUBE  BY ACTIVIST GAVIN SEIM.....

THE PAIN AND SUFFERING IN THIS WORLD CAUSED BY THE HARMING OF OTHERS BY ALL OF US SINCE WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER AND MY OWN HARM TO OTHERS BECAUSE I AM A DRUNK STANDS OVER ME.

AND YES IN A SPECIFIC WAY THE POLICE CAUSING HARM TO OTHERS IN THIS COUNTRY BECAUSE OF THEIR HUMAN WEAKNESSES, THEIR OWN INTOXICATION.

WE NEED SOMETHING MORE THAN POLITICS TO DEAL WITH THE EVIL AMONG US.

BRANDT JEAN'S ACTION GAVE US SOME HOPE FOR A BETTER WAY.

Onto politics and President Trump fighting to defend himself amidst wobbly knees from many elected Republicans.  Some GOP leaders saying they are raising money to defend Trump.   I say they raise money to defend their own positions and power.

A caller challenged Rush Limbaugh Thursday on why the GOP doesn't go after President Trump's enemies and El Rushbo noting that the Republicans will only support things that have popular support.

In the past Rush has noted that Democrats use "focus group" polling to decide what to say, what issues to get involved in, what positions to take.

Well I guess Rush admitted without saying it that the Republicans do the same thing as the Democrats do.

It reminds me of Dr. Martin Luther King and what he really did and it sure wasn't "community service" which is what the Establishment cooks up for his holiday.

MLK took non violent civil disobedience and used it to confront the political machines like John F. Kennedy's Democrat machine and Mayor Richard Daley's Chicago Democrat machine that made policy based on public opinion which wasn't on the side of ending racial discrimination.

But King went forward anyway and it will take something more than politics to really change things in this country, that is what we learn from the events of this week.

The Democrat tribe with its base of support from government employees who happen to be teachers or social workers or health care workers.

The Republican tribe with its base of support from government employees who happen to be police and fire people, the "first responders", the military.

Both relying on factions of government employees for their support.

How will big government and massive spending ever be torn down in this country, how will real change ever be accomplished?

You vote typical D or typical R you vote for two sides of the same coin.

Outsiders like Roy Moore in Alabama and Kris Kobach in Kansas running for US Senate in 2020 but will President Trump support business as usual or people who will support him all the way and go to the mat for him when the words like "impeachment" get tossed about?

Here's a story about Kris Kobach's run in Kansas:

NEWS UPDATE-TURKEY-SYRIA-KURDS-CYPRUS OIL DRILING

The "Wall Street Journal" reported Friday fears from US officials of a Turkish military operation in northeastern Syria against the Kurdish allies of the US in Syria.

The leader of Turkey saying Saturday a ground an dair operation will be launched east of the Euphrates River in Syria in the next 48 hours.

"We have made our preparations; we have finalized our operation plans, given the necessary instructions"

The words of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at a retreat for his ruling AKP Party in Turkey.

The forces that have helped the US in Syria against Assad and ISIS and so on seen as terrorists by the Turks.

Is he bluffing to get a phone call from Donald Trump?    Maybe not.   Maybe he means it.   The pro-government "Yeni Safak" published a story Friday noting that Trump said the US was pulling its troops out of Syria alluding to Trump's talk.

The story also noted that US troops are still in Syria regardless of what the President said.

Will the POTUS call to talk Erdogan down or will this go forward with danger aimed at allies in the US campaign against Assad with the US military potentially in harms way?

The "Yeni Safak" story listed hundreds of trucks worth of US supplies flowing into the Kurdish regions with disdain.

Money, politics,  power and the vaping controversy with plenty of state attorney general's looking for loot to plunder for state treasuries, to fund the "Welfare States of America" if you will.

But mainstream media reporting mentioned on Twitter by Maxine Bernstein this week got my attention.

She works for "OregonLive-The Portland Oregonian" and she is a working journalist in the best traditions of journalism.

I trained to be a journalist at a major university in a major city and did some time in the MSM myself.

I'm pro journalism and sick of the cable news propaganda that supplants a tradition of reporting on a variety of stories instead of focusing on single stories for political impact.

When it comes to flavored vaping the FDA wanted to ban it  four years ago but top Obama Administration officials got in the way after being lobbied by the vaping industry.

The "Los Angeles Times" reported the story Tuesday.....LINK

My after take on this story is that since the decision making was up against 2016, the Presidential Election Year, what role if any did the Clinton Machine have in this decision making since Obama's crew was on the way out and obviously concerned about Hillary's team replacing them?

And in the 1970's if you liked pop music you had Elton John and for those of us who listened to country music radio like I did, we listened to a singer who was on the pop charts as well. Olivia Newton-John.

Back to the country music of the 1970's my go to music back then.    Heck if I heard pop music it was during my DX'ing adventures on AM or Shortwave radio.

I still listen to AM radio.    You can hear a lot of Mexican music there nowadays, that's for sure.

Here in York, PA I can tune in Long Island's WBWD on 540 AM putting out 10-thousand watts in the day, only 220 at night.

40 years ago it was WLIX and only put out 250 watts daytime only.   The station carried religious programs till 130 pm and then played "Contemporary Christian Music".

Lloyd Parker was in charge of the operation as I recall it and I remember meeting him at one of the festivals I attended as a member of the religious media in the early 1980's.

NEWS UPDATE-MAN ARRESTED AT BERLIN SYNAGOGUE

A 23-year old Syrian man armed with a knife ran into a Berlin synagogue Friday and was arrested.    He was yelling of course:

"Allahu Akhbar"

Being on the side of Saudi Arabia and Al-Qaeda in Syria to oppose Iran has its consequences like the refugee-migrant flood into Europe.    That's led to danger and death, rape and murder in Europe.

The Gulf Arabs, US, UK Western Europe and Israel all played their part in the rage and violence stirred up against Assad of Syria.

No other media talking about that aspect of the story but you can read details as interpreted by "Israel National News".

SYRIAN MAN ARRESTED BERLIN SYNAGOGUE

But the question to be asking tonight is this dirty game of serving money rich Saudi Arabia and its allied nations repeating itself again in Iraq.     Is Iran's ability to use Iraq as a pathway of resupply to Syria and Lebanon in the process of being interdicted by a new "Arab Spring"?

This is what the BBC is publishing tonight and remember street protests are exactly how the Syrian war got started back in 2011.

BREXIT UPDATE:  WILL NIGEL FARAGE BE THROWN UNDER THE BUS?

The Tories trying to reach what Boris Johnson has called a "reasonable compromise" with the European Union as the talks move along towards a "deal".

And who doesn't like a "deal".   Ask the President of the United States.

Nigel Farage sees a "sellout" to the European Union and Peter Hitchens who is disgusted with the whole conflict and controversy over Brexit sees Boris Johnson as just the kind of "cynical" guy who can claim to deliver Brexit when he's not.

But is all this just a way for Johnson and Trump and others to claim a victory and for Nigel Farage to be put away.    MP  Jacob Rees-Mogg, who has been portrayed as a Brexit advocate, now saying Farage is a good man but he should get out of the way for the Conservatives to take care of things.

Johnson has gone so far as to have told a Scottish court Friday through his lawyers that if no deal is reached with the EU by October 19th, a letter will be sent to the EU asking for a delay in Brexit.    Johnson has made public statements claiming a firm October 31st deadline for Brexit.

More delay, more thwarting of the democratic will of the people expressed in the 2016 referendum.

Nigel Farage has distanced himself from those he considers "extreme" and those people right now like Tommy Robinson more sympathetic to Boris Johnson.

Also expressing her support for Johnson is Anne Marie Waters of "For Britain".   Here's her video posted in recent days before we learned about the court filing Friday in Scotland I mentioned earlier.
