FRANCE YELLOW VESTS WEEK 47:  THOUSANDS ON THE STREETS AGAIN

Last Saturday's protests drew crowds estimated to be at least 15,947 strong at more than 100 locations across France.

Events going on around the Yellow Vests include the Lubrizol plant fire in Rouen with concerns about pollution and health problems caused by the fire and the seemingly slow response of the government.

And then Thursday's attack by a police IT employee on his fellow employees at the police headquarters in Paris with four dead, one wounded.

The attacker shot dead and it turns out he converted to Islam in 2008 and had justified the Paris terrorist attacks of 2015.   The anti-terrorism police investigating the case.

Looking forward there are plans for a one year anniversary of the Yellow Vests protests to be observed Saturday November 16th and Sunday November 17th across France.

The occupation started around 10 am this morning and built up to several hundred participants.    No police intervention reported yet to remove the hundreds of participants involved.

Slogans like "Pollute consume and shut your mouth" and "destroy the palaces of power, build houses of the people" were put in front of the windows of the shops.

Police have positioned themselves around the shopping center.   Wooden pallets, chairs and ropes blocking the entrances and exits have been deployed by the protesters.

At Amiens today the government estimated some 450 Yellow Vests including a small group of anarchists.    500 Yellow Vests estimated at Besancon for Week 47.
