PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA SET TO CUT POWER TO SOME 800,000 CUSTOMERS BECAUSE OF DANGEROUS CONDITIONS THAT COULD CAUSE WILDFIRES. THE SHUT OFF OF POWER COULD LAST SEVERAL DAYS.
PG AND E EQUIPMENT DETERMINED TO BE THE CAUSE OF LAST YEAR'S "CAMP FIRE" THAT KILLED SOME 86 PEOPLE IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA.

One of Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage's tweets today as word is out that German Chancellor Angela Merkel is preventing Boris Johnson's attempt to reach a "deal" with the European Union from going forward.
Johnson's "deal" said to be impossible following a phone call with Merkel.

Ecuador's President Lenin Moreno left the capital city of Quito Monday night to govern from the port city of Guayaquil amidst protests against his decision last week to cut fuel subsidies.
Moreno said that former president Rafael Correa and Venezuela's Nicolas Maduro were responsible for stirring up the protests in the country.
There were clashes on the streets of Quito Monday and the state oil company Petroamazonas suspended operations in three oil fields because "individuals not affiliated with the operation" took them over.
Moreno raised fuel prices in the country at the direction of the International Monetary Fund in order to obtain a loan from the IMF.

During the day Tuesday protesters attacked government buildings in Quito including the Parliament building getting inside before being driven back by tear gas.
From the political drama in Washington, President Trump opting not to have US Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland meet with House committees controlled by Democrats.
The President tweeting in part that if Sondland were to appear he would be before:
"a totally compromised kangaroo court"
Also word that a week from Thursday a "March for Trump" is set for the US Capitol at 10 am. That will be on Thursday October 17th.
Tonight a letter sent by the White House Counsel to the House committees and Speaker Nancy Pelosi stating that the "impeachment inquiry" against President Trump is among others things "Unconsitutional" and does not have legitimacy.
The White House will not cooperate with a probe that the counsel says does not follow "the rule of law"
Does the Civil Rights Act of 1964's prohibition of discrimination on the basis of sex apply to sexual orientation and gender identity.
The US Supreme Court hearing arguments today on behalf of two gay plantiffs and a transgendered plantiff.
The court will make a decision after hearing today's arguments.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov visiting Kurdish leadership in northern Iraq Tuesday following a visit to Baghdad cut short by concern over the protests there in recent days.
The fate of Kurds in northeastern Syria was discussed with Russia asked to play a role in preventing deterioration of the situation.

Additional news the Tass News Agency saying that Lavrov has communicated with Turkey in recent hours.
Also word from Reuters that a Turkish airstrike was carried out on the Syria-Iraq border to cut off a route of reinforcement for Kurdish forces in northeastern Syria.
Joining the anti-Iran voices in high places in expressing opposition to the Turkish military operation against the Kurds in Syria is Iran itself.
Turkey gave assurances to Iran about the nature of its military operation.
Turkey reported reinforcing its military forces along the border with northeastern Syria tonight.
Kurdish military leaders in Syria saying an attack is imminent.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo saying the US will sanction Chinese officials involved in the persecution of China's Uighur Muslim minority.
That follows the imposition of sanctions on some 28 organizations and business involved in China's policies against the Uighurs.
The fourth and final day of the pre-indictment hearing for Israel's Prime Minister Banjamin Netanyahu Monday. Attorney General Avechai Mandelblit will now move forward with a final decision in the three corruption cases on indictments which is expected in the next few months.
