Welcome and lets start with what happened 50 years ago this month (July 1970) when there was a warning from a Western American Bozeman, Montana's Chet Huntley about a big government bureaucracy in our country.




 Huntley was leaving the anchor desk at NBC News seeing a divided America where he didn't wish to choose sides but wished to stand on principle.....


"these labels that get thrown around they're unfortunate because I look at myself and I don't know what I am in terms of conservative and liberal......my attitudes towards the federal government, the federal structure, I'm disenchanted like so many other Americans with that.    It's getting too big and cumbersome, unmanageable filled with self-serving and self-perpetuating bureaucracy"-

And now in July of 2020 a warning from another Western American about a big government bureaucracy, but this one wearing uniforms and carrying firearms and other '"less lethal" weapons.....


"defund the police is the correct thing to do they've become a huge authoritarian bureaucracy that will be the bureaucracy or the people that take away our liberties.    They will be the ones to do that and the only thing that's going to stop them is people uniting to stop them"

You'll notice that Chet got some noise from singer Janis Joplin in that video an addict just months away from death.


And of course Ammon's got a heck of lot of noise from the folks who call themselves "patriots" if I wasn't sober today I would be one of them......

Chet would design and build the Big Sky Resort in Montana.    Many felt like Walter that Chet was headed for politics but cancer cut Chet Huntley's life short.   


Chet was a man like Ammon Bundy with a spirit that was open to others even strangers and yes Chet was as his co-anchor David Brinkley puts it in this video "a cowboy".......

And of course the cowboy LaVoy Finicum gunned down in Oregon on January 26, 2016 by an Oregon State trooper violating his own department's rule about wearing a body camera because he was told by the FBI not to and the killer promoted from lieutenant to captain.



The fight continued around the federal courthouse in Portland through the night into today where the living Oregon Standoff protesters arrested back then were put on trial on felony charges for operating an authentically peaceful protest (no anarchists in their group) back in the fall of 2016.     When they were found innocent a rigged second trial was held to force conviction of lesser defendants....




I reflected on what that building meant in the context of Constitutional Liberty in a post earlier  this week......

Some James Bond music here because many cops out there live in the fantasy world of lust and violence one sees in a James Bond scenario and the problem they have is a reflection of a widespread problem which has impacted each and every one of us directly or indirectly.


Who is breaking into our homes and stealing things?      Is it Antifa or BLM or cops collecting "evidence"?

The no-knock raid justified on the basis that police were looking for drugs they ended up not finding there in the March 13th bloodletting in Louisville.

(COMMENT AND ANALYSIS)



Lets start with the fact that this "drug raid" on Breonna Taylor's apartment March 13th was done without an announcement of any kind.     It was a no knock raid and the cops just broke in leaving Taylor's boyfriend who legally owned a firearm to assume something bad was going on so he fired in self-defense.


This wasn't Antifa or BLM breaking into someone's home it was the Louisville Metropolitan Police Department are you getting the picture.


The cops again made the US Constitution a big gigantic diaper wipe.



Now its today and we are supposed to be seeing a "militia face-off" in the city between a black militia and the Three Percenters.       Both groups at least peppered with FBI informants to identify anyone and or entrap them for arrest later on down the road.


How manipulated is this event by the FBI and or political operatives from the two big parties who need to shut down any potential or actual violence so you can be diverted into the political debate and be herded into the election in November. 


The event itself accentuates the notion of the threat of violence which is exactly what President Trump (who I voted for in 2016) wants voters to be considering when they make their choice in November.


The FBI informants and crazy people some of whom will be arrested all drawn into this situation which got extensive promotion in recent days.....

REMEMBERING REGIS PHILBIN




Word today that Regis Philbin has passed away at the age of 88.   Regis did work for ABC like "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" and he did "Regis and Kathie Lee" but his ABC work began way back in the 1960's as ABC tried to compete with Johnny Carson and the "Tonight Show" on NBC.


Joey Bishop's late night Ed McMahon was none other than Regis Philbin and you'll see him in this clip.....








ABC would eventually replace Bishop with Dick Cavett who you saw earlier with Chet Huntley and Janis Joplin........











THE DICTATORSHIP OF COVID-19 CONTINUES




Don't wear a face covering was the message before now its you must wear a face covering the business and political leaders coming together to rule over us.


Heck Arkansas's mask-muzzle order this last week following in the footsteps of Walmart's mask-muzzle order.   Arkansas politics and Walmart entwined for decades including the 1980's when Hillary Rodham Clinton was on the Walmart Board of Directors in the days when Mr. Sam Walton himself ran things.


Moving on to other  DC 19 stuff Peter Hitchens wrote this piece for "The Spectator" in the UK it starts.....



"Any day now I shall be frogmarched, or at least very firmly escorted, out of a blood donor centre in London.    I know this is going to happen because I made the appointment weeks ago and I intend to keep it.    But when I signed up to donate my pint of blood to the public good, I was not required to wear a muzzle during my donation"

JUSTICE FOR SEAN ANDERSON RALLY NEXT SATURDAY



Ammon Bundy appearing in a video yesterday to update the situation on Sean Anderson who was blinded by police in Idaho.     Anderson one of the final four Oregon Standoff protesters.    He cut a plea deal with the feds.


But in recent weeks Sean helping Ammon with Peoples Rights in Idaho and in the midst of his involvement with Peoples Rights the incident early in the morning of Saturday July 18th when someone flashed their car lights at Anderson and he flashed back.     The vehicle that first flashed its lights was a law enforcement vehicle.    This led to a traffic stop with Anderson saying he fled the stop fearing for his life.


Eventually he pulled over with police in pursuit their weapons drawn firing at him.    He was hit in the face and head and disoriented at that point Anderson went for his firearm to fire in self-defense but does not recall what he did as far as shooting back at the cops.



Ammon Bundy makes the point in this video that we are trapped in a mindset that presumes law enforcement officers to be a superior group of people than "We The People" and he argues that they are not.

Police are human and they do make mistakes.     They are "sinners" if you want a religious word to describe the situation.   


We seemed locked in this "Animal Farm" mentality.     As Orwell wrote in the book about a Communistic society it was said in a society where "all were equal" that "some are more equal than others".      We seem to be there in our country in regards to law enforcement.



BUNDY ALSO SAYS IN THIS VIDEO THAT THE LEWIS COUNTY IDAHO SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT WAS ON A TICKET WRITING SPREE THAT NIGHT ENFORCING RULES ABOUT TAIL LIGHTS AND SO ON.     HE SAYS THAT THEY WERE ORDERED TO DO SO AND WERE INSTIGATING THE PUBLIC WITH DELIBERATE TRAFFIC STOPS THEY WOULD NOT NORMALLY MAKE ON OTHER NIGHTS TO COLLECT THE FINES, WRITE THE CITATIONS ETC. ETC. ETC.

Now we get the message that it's time for a total lockdown in some 50 countries to stop Covid-19.    The first story focuses on Israel but mentions other nations....

Nothing like that classic country music and  we started with Buck Owens.

Buck doing his show from "The Buck Owens Ranch" and that reminds me of ranchers again like Dwight and Steven Hammond jailed as terrorists for lighting a backfire to protect their land in Harney Country, Oregon.      Heck they got sent back to prison for a second time in January of 2016 and then along came Ammon Bundy and LaVoy Finicum and others like David Fry and Sean Anderson who we mentioned earlier in connection with this police provocation in Idaho.



Those people staged the "Oregon Standoff" protest a peaceful protest invaded by crazy people with guns including FBI informants.


After all were arrested the trials of the defendants led by the US Attorney for Oregon namely Billy Williams.     Williams the Obama USAO retained by the Trump Administration. 


The federal "criminal justice system" with its 98 percent conviction rate got beat by the late Marcus Mumford leading the defense in the first trial of leading defendants then Williams had to work with the judge to rig up a second trial so some of the lesser participants could be convicted of something.

Billy's boys made the "violent extremists" argument about the Oregon Standoff protesters in that trial back in 2016, too.    And I guess if you count the crazies and FBI informants not prosecuted who showed up then you get "violent extremists".


Maxine Bernstein already published a story indicating undercover feds are in the protesting crowds based on federal documents.



Of course there is violence going on during these protests again I ask the question are they perped at least in part by crazies and or FBI operatives and informants part of the federal "criminal justice system" itself?



Not to endorse violence against the feds but I am simply trying to say that Billy Williams has zero credibility with me when he talks about "violent extremists" becuase of the Oregon Standoff case....




PORTLAND PROTESTS:   ANALYZING LATEST DEVELOPMENTS




The crowd was mostly peaceful last night with the "Wall of Moms"   "Wall of Dads" and "Wall of Vets" among others some four thousand strong but eventually the anarchist type behavior manifested itself and the tear gas came from inside the fence.     That scattered many people but the fight continued with fireworks thrown in at the federal law enforcement and tear gas sent out.   Flash bang rounds used by the feds.



Both sides had leaf blowers last night to blow the tear gas back and forth.....



The feds eventually came right out of the fenced in federal building-courthouse area to attack the people on the outside with some anarchists employing shields and throwing fireworks.    Two people put into unmarked vans by the feds around 2 am this morning local time and a stabbing incident at 3rd and Salmon Streets early this morning with Portland Police investigating.
