FRANCE YELLOW VESTS WEEK 62: THE STRIKE, THE PENSIONS, THE POLITICS
The events move forward with tensions and divisions among the forces that had been striking over President Emmanuel Macron's pension reform.
Scuffles breaking out at a union headquarters as those strongly opposed to Macron confront those who were backing down in the face of tweaks by the government in reform.
Campaigning for municipal elections in March National Rally leader Marine Le Pen says the government is causing conditions that lead to the strike's present state. Le Pen favors a national referendum on pension reform.
More trains now running in France although service is not completely back to its pre-strike levels.
This week in politics the 2007 Socialist presidential candidate Segolene Royal emerging after being critical of the current government. Royal being touted as offering a third way in the 2022 presidential election where Le Pen and the incumbent Macron are the leading contenders.

In Paris today mainstream media reporting put thousands on the streets with the peaceful march ending at the Gare de Lyon where anarchist activity began with the setting of fires and vandalism.
A 22 year old journalist activist is in custody after giving out the location of the theater where President Emmanuel Macron was in attendance last evening. Protesters descended on the theater and Macron was reportedly removed from it.....FRANCE 24 VIDEO LINK
The person charged is Taha Bouhafs, accused of "participation in a group committed to perform violence or damage". Bouhafs was released today.
Is is being reported that President Macron was "made safe" and returned to the theater while demonstrators were in and around the building.
Getting back to today's protests the Yellow Vests at the port in Marseille today.....
