A massive down day on Wall Street the Dow Jones Industrial Average plunged more than one thousand points closing 1164.52 points lower losing 3.57 percent of its value.



It's the worst performance for the Dow since March of 2020.



The NASDAQ dropping 566.37 down 4.73 percent in value...

PREMIER JASON KENNEY IN ALBERTA CALLS IT QUITS AFTER NARROW WIN IN LEADERSHIP VOTE



In Western Canada's Alberta province the leadership vote results for Premier Jason Kenney of the "United Conservative Party" announced this evening.



The announcement coming during a major sports event in the province The Battle Of Alberta hockey game.



The leadership contest originally set to be in a convention hall but it was moved to a mail-in vote only process of party members.



In the end Mr. Kenney got 51.4 percent support in the 34,000 mail-in ballots and he decided to resign as party leader and Premier of Alberta saying it's time to '"move on past the division of COVID".



Many Albertans angered and dismayed by the harsh COVID mandates imposed by Premier Kenney and seeking new leadership for the party ahead of an election next spring...

PENNSYLVANIA PRIMARY-VOTE COUNT CONTINUES IN REPUBLICAN US SENATE CONTEST

The vote count in the Republican Primary for US Senate continued late into the night here in Pennsylvania a close contest between the candidate endorsed by President Trump Dr. Mehmet Oz and banker-businessman David McCormick supported by US Senator Ted Cruz Republican of Texas...


Dr. Oz pulled ahead by a very narrow margin early Wednesday morning.



The votes continue to trickle in today.



At  620 pm Eastern US time Dr. Mehmet Oz led David McCormick in the vote count compiled by media organizations 415.955 to 414,435...



Pennsylvania Department of State numbers lag behind this count but the count for those controversial mail-in votes cited by President Trump as a method of vote fraud show a substantial lead for Mr. McCormick.



McCormick receiving 42,925 mail-in votes to 30,516 for Oz according to official Department of State numbers...SPECIAL REPORT NEWS AND COMMENT




Politics in Missouri a new poll for KMOV-TV done by Survey USA shows former Governor Eric Greitens at 26 percent in the GOP Primary for US Senate.


Greitens leads Eric Schmidt at 17 percent and Vicky Hartzler at 11 percent.

This means that the Mississippi abortion law argued before the US Supreme Court some months ago is more liberal than Spain's.     The Mississippi law allows abortions during the first 15 weeks of pregnancy.  France also has a slightly stricter abortion law than the Mississippi one also allowing abortion during the first 14 weeks of pregnancy.
