Response to President Trump's post includes some wondering why he won't back down from his full-throated endorsement of the COVID shots (vaccine).
Trump still wants to do the victory lap for his crash program ("Operation Warp Speed") that rushed the shots out under "emergency use authorization" underlining their lack of full testing and development.
My thoughts are that the shots were needed and were in many cases effective for elderly people and the vulnerable groups like the obese.
But they were not needed for general use among the population.
The option to say "No" to the shots was not supported in general loudly or vocally enough by Mr. Trump and most other Republicans.
Many Republicans like Governor Kay Ivey in Alabama for example pushed the jabs speaking of 'regular folks' and 'unvaccinated folks'.
Only in Montana did Republicans led by Governor Greg Gianforte take decisive action using government power to outlaw forced vaccination in workplaces, incentives by employers to vaccinate and forced use of masks.
