There have been isolated incidents in several French cities tonight some arson attacks with police making arrests and breaking up demonstrations deemed too violent.
There have also been incidents of looting.
421 arrests reported as of early Friday morning with curfews imposed in some areas.
Today the mother of the teenage police shooting victim in a march starting from the police headquarters in the Paris suburb of Nanterre.
Six thousand participated in the demonstration. There were some tensions at the edges of the protest.
After criticizing the shooting as not being justified, French President Emmanuel Macron saying that violent protest on the streets is not justified.
