The Conservative Party intends to have the process completed in eight days by Friday October 28th with two possible nominees for party membership to select in an online vote.
But 100 MP's are needed for a valid nomination.
If three candidates come out of that process the MP's will whittle the candidates down to two for party members to vote on.
If only one candidate gets to the 100 MP thresh hold that person will be declared party leader and Prime Minister without any voting.
