Legault's CAQ Party winning over 40 percent of the popular vote and 88 of the 125 seats in the National Assembly.
Mr. Legault was known for his harsh COVID policies including vaccine mandates, restrictions on shopping and crackdowns on opposition to his COVID curfews.
