YELLOW VESTS MARCH IN PARIS WEEK 205 SATURDAY 10/15/2022
On Newsdump Friday Night in France the government of President Emmanuel Macron brought in opposition politicians for consultations on "Pension Reform" Emmanuel Macron's plan to raise the retirement age in France in the coming years.
The National Rally leader in France's legislature Marine Le Pen spoke to reporters outside her meeting at Hotel Matignon the home of French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne.
Le Pen telling the media "Wanting to implement the pension reform at all costs seems unreasonable to me".
The Government lacking a majority in the National Assembly holding out the notion of President Macron implementing Article 49.3 of the French Constitution and imposing "Pension Reform" without legislative approval.
Also in Macron's tool kit a possible dissolution of the National Assembly and new elections over "Pension Reform".
But the issue squarely on the minds of the French Friday night the gasoline shortages due to strikes at France's oil refineries.
"The government did not anticipate anything. It did not see anything coming!"
Le Pen speaking about the refinery strikes and gasoline shortages noting that Government spokesman Olivier Veran has even claimed "no shortage" at one point in the last week.
The government pushed some refinery workers back on the job with special powers but by Friday 28.1 percent of gasoline stations still partially or fully out of gasoline. That's not much movement from the high point of around 32 percent recorded on Wednesday.
THE SITUATION AT FRANCE'S GASOLINE STATIONS THIS WEEKEND VERY SERIOUS INDEED.
OF 11,000 SERVICE STATIONS 2194 HAD NO GASOLINE AS OF MID-DAY SATURDAY AND ANOTHER 2129 WERE PARTIALLY OUT OF GASOLINE...(BFM-TV France)
THIS MEANS THAT 20 PERCENT OF FRANCE'S GAS STATIONS HAD NO GASOLINE MID-DAY TODAY AND ANOTHER 19 PERCENT WERE PARTIALLY OUT OF GAS A TOTAL OF 39 PERCENT.
OFFICIAL MEDIA FIGURES LATE THIS AFTERNOON SHOW DISRUPTION TO 27.3 PERCENT OF FRANCE'S GASOLINE STATIONS...(BFM-TV France)
The Left in France and the traditional trade unions trying to push the strike actions forward but "moderate" unions willing to return to work in some cases with six percent or greater pay increases granted by employers under government pressure to resolve the strikes.
President Macron and the Left are now butting heads in connection with the refinery strikes as the Left will take to the streets this weekend with a Sunday anti-inflation march in Paris along with a "climate change" protest Saturday.
On Tuesday more strikes are planned in France including some involving teachers demanding higher pay to handle inflation.
This week a commentary by "Politico" said that Left leader Jean-Luc Melenchon's fight with Macron is a losing battle because many of the people who used to support the Left now vote for Marine Le Pen''s National Rally.
Melenchon was also dissed as being too anti-American and too "Far Left" the headline going so far as to label Melenchon's move against Macron as an:
" Improbable Insurrection"

In the city of Auxerre in the Burgundy region of southern France today a protest.
This protest one of solidarity with trade unions and for the freedom of trade unions in the increasingly Neo-Liberal crony capitalist dominated society where only social liberalism (Abortion, Gender Identity, Climate) is promoted...
Back to Paris two protests today.
The video from one of them, the video first seen in this post labeled with a sarcastic mocking of French President Emmanuel Macron as the one:
"Who saved us from the nasty virus and who will save us from the nasty Putin"
There is discontent in France more will be manifested in the days ahead and the likely political winner will be Marine Le Pen and the National Rally.
The "Old Left" of workers rights and grievances could end up being defeated by the Globalist Crony Capitalist forces with their "New Left" the rights of women including abortion rights.
CLEAR SIGNS OF GOVERNMENT INTENTION TO UNDERMINE THE PLANS OF THE 'LEFT' POLICE ALREADY WARNING ABOUT 'EXTREMISTS' AT TOMORROW'S PROTEST 'EXTREMISTS' THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO PLANT?
The rights of minorities including sexual ones and saving the planet from "climate change" also in the mix of the "New Left" of Globalism.
The only strong and viable opposition left standing will be the nationalist forces of the National Rally and Marine Le Pen.
The Macron government intends to deal with and take out the Leftist protests in coming days with the label of January 6th at the US Capitol applied to them.
Stay Tuned.
That's the story of France and the Yellow Vests for this week.
