FRANCE YELLOW VESTS WEEK 204: THE ENERGY PROBLEMS, PROTEST IN PARIS, ANTI-WAR, ANTI-EU, NATO THEMES

YELLOW VESTS PROTEST OPPOSING PRESIDENT MACRON'S GOVERNMENT POLICIES IN PARIS SATURDAY OCTOBER 8, 2022

Striking workers blockading oil refineries in France have disrupted the distribution of gasoline in France this week.

At the European nations conference in Prague President Emmanuel Macron called for things like:

"calm" "responsibility"

trying to discourage a rush by motorists to fill up their tanks.

One in five French service stations having problems providing fuel to customers today.

Late today word that in some parts of France motorists and truckers were being subjected to restrictions on the amount of gasoline they could fill up with. (30 liters or 7.93 gallons for cars and 150 liters or 39.63 gallons for trucks).

As motorists faced that short-term energy problem the government laid out plans for energy shortages this coming winter.

Those shortages driven by the sanctions on Russia over Ukraine.

Working from home promoted by the government also the setting of thermostats for heat down to 19 Degrees Celsius (66.2 Degrees Fahrenheit).

In all 15 points laid out in the Macron government's plans including regular energy forecasts from the government alerting the public to impending energy problems this winter...

Protest outside Paris today in Tours. The flag of Christianity and some other flags mixed in this protest.

The white banner displayed at this demonstration in the center of the city reads:

"No to the War"

as in the war in Ukraine...

And getting back to the crowd in Paris it was in the thousands many French flags including some with the two barred Cross of Lorraine in them.

And one other note left-wing forces in France urging protest on November 16th against the Macron government's economic policies.

Among the Leftists calling for the protest the recently announced winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature French writer Annie Ernaux.

The Leftists say that inflation is making the poor poorer while the rich stay rich.
