I guess I'll start by noting that in China dealing with Covid-19 has meant things like health screenings where people are asked questions and their temperature is taken.
Going to work in the "front lines" for me means going through such a screening.
So life in the USA for many of us resembles going to work in Communist China.
The media including the "conservative talk show hosts" like to talk a lot about Communist China or even Russia but I feel like they do that really to distract from how much like Russia and China like things are right here in the USA.
Hey, my temperature yesterday 97 degrees even. The optimum temperature is supposed to be 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit.
In the 1960's there was a song titled "98.6".....
The big item in demand here in the USA and virtually absent from the shelves for the last three weeks is toilet paper. In the Great Depression the song was "Brother Can You Spare A Dime" a song way before our increasingly wild inflationary policies of the present. Prices are going up sooner or later folks. The politicians are very scared my friends.

I don't think Ray Bradbury wrote that story but that is the story of our time the big government big business partnership ruling the roost.
But a writer named Harry Harrison wrote a story called "Soylent Green" that was made into a move in 1973.
Here's a scene from that film about the food supply running out and the ensuing riot in the year 2022......
The star of the film is a guy who many Americans idolized with a bumper sticker in the 1990's.
"Charlton Heston Is My President"
in contrast to the President back then Bill Clinton.
Heston makes a gruesome discovery by the end of the movie. That the food being handed out to people is made of people their corpses processed into "Soylent Green".
Its time we all made a discovery about the massive spending and debt of the United States and who we owe that debt to....I guess we do need to get back to work, to get the economy moving again because the debt holders must be paid.
When Donald J. Trump became President of the United States in 2017 the leaders of two nations got the royal treatment at Mar a Lago......
And for good reason. The two nations hold large portions of the national debt of the United States.
Japan is one of them and so Shinzo Abe Japan's Prime Minister got the royal treatment but another leader got this special treatement. Watch the video......
Whatever stuff you hear about China nowadays from various talk show hosts and politicians and the list goes on as they "pass the buck" about the coronavirus in the end the truth is that China holds a big chunk of the USA's national debt that's now ballooning to even bigger proportions so don't take all the hatred and nasty talk too seriously because its just distraction from how Chinese Communist our own governments have become in this country in recent weeks.
I have heard the President talk about a "very good relationship with China" even as he expresses his doubts about China and the coronavirus in recent weeks.
I say:
"We Owe China Trillions"
Is the US descending into a China-style system right before our eyes as well?

it has been said in recent weeks and Bernie Sanders the other day explained his departure from the presidential race with the notion that his ideas have become mainstream. Of course the political machine was arm twisting I'm sure too. But yeah perhaps Bernie is onto something.

I grew up listening to the radio preacher persecuted by the Liberal Democrats and RINO's who now all call themselves "Conservatives" in the talk radio definition spending trillions incarnation of that.
Dr. Carl McIntire put it this way in the face of really having a radio station shut down by the Nixon FCC in the name of the "Fairness Doctrine".

He was human, an ego driven man, an influence on my big ego that only a drunk like me can have.

Hitchens talks in that interview about how the UK accumulated massive debts in the world wars last century leading to its downfall.
Shouldn't we in the USA keep that in mind as the trillions are spent/
He has also said that the next proper history of his country will be written in Chinese. Is that our fate here in the USA sometime down the road?
Just like McDonalds has the sign about billions and billions served the USA can now hang up a sign saying:
"Trillions and Trillions Spent"
I know what's it like to spend too much money.
The present circumstances allow me to make some more money strangely enough and gives me the opportunity to spend it wisely on paying off debt. I've listened over the years to Dave Ramsey on the radio telling folks to work more, bring in more money and pay off debt.
And I'll pass along a link to the guy's website. He helps people when he's on the radio. Dave Ramsey does that. You don't come away from his show drunk and angry like you might listening to other shows out there.

The OPEC+ nations continue their talks to tie up the loose end involving Mexico. Earlier reporting on this is that the cuts agreed to are insufficient to bring stability to the oil markets.

Getting back to coronavirus one of the things that Peter Hitchens noted in his video interview linked earlier was that while people are dying with Covid-19 they are not always dying of it. The deaths of those with who have other issues are included in the statistics government is now rolling out with relish.
Hitchens said that recently the averaging out of deaths over mutliple days showing only145 more a day on average in the UK for that period of time.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's news conference today and the number of deaths reported is 783.
