President Trump hoping for higher oil prices coming out of the OPEC+ nations video conference tomorrow to help the US oil industry and so is one of his arch enemies.

The head of Venezuela's regime, Nicolas Maduro, needs higher oil prices to sustain his government and enable it to pay off the security forces that maintain his rule.   Venezuela one of the participating nations with Maduro saying in a speech:

"I believe we are on the right track, there are good proposals on the table"

Today a report alleging the Syrian military staged chemical weapons attacks in  March of 2017 was released by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.

The work of the OPCW has been covered in controversy with several former OPCW officials saying they were pressured to write reports that implicated the Syrian government in another alleged chemical attack in Douma in 2018.
