The oil price situation tonight as of 1045 pm Eastern US time sees the WTI price at 20.49 per barrel. Expectations of a rise in crude oil prices later this year as the production cut deal begins to have an impact.
Locally in York, PA at the pumps for the first time tonight a price below two dollars a gallon was seen. Prices here seem to have been kept above two dollars a gallon for the last month.

Democrat governors also talking about a restart of the economy with Oregon, Washington and California coordinating on the West Coast and Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island coordinating on the East Coast.
But missing from all the jawboning of the politicians is concrete action with much talk about health risks outweighing economic concerns. In fact California Governor Gavin Newsom said today he would follow the lead of the scientists and public health experts and would not give a specific date for reopening California.
Vice-President Mike Pence telling host Laura Ingraham pretty much the same thing that goals are to reopen the economy while protecting Amercians.

FLORIDA GOVERNOR RON DESANITS AND OTHER REPUBLICANS IN POWER HAVE PUT THEIR CITIZENS UNDER DE FACTO MARTIAL LAW, PUT THEM UNDER HOUSE ARREST AND SHUT DOWN THEIR SMALL BUSINESSES. OHIO GOVERNOR MIKE DEWINE ONE OF THE EARLY ONES TO ACT ALONG THESE LINES.
WHEN THE ECONOMY "REOPENS" EXPECT RULES AND REGULATIONS LIKE THE WEARING OF FACE MASKS AND HEALTH CHECKS, LIMITS ON THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE IN BUILDINGS ETC. ETC. UNDER THE AUSPICES OF REPUBLICAN GOVERNORS ALONG WITH THE DEMOCRATS.
TAKING FUNDING AWAY FROM THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION DOES NOT DEAL WITH THE AUTHORITARIAN RULE IMPOSED ON AMERICANS THAT WILL LIKELY CONTINUE IN SOME SHAPE OR FORM FOR AT LEAST THE NEXT TWO YEARS.
The Republican controlled legislature and Republican controlled Supreme Courts at the state and federal levels all ruled in support of holding last week's primary election in Wisconsin over the objection of Democrat Governor Tony Evers. Evers citing Covid-19.

In the USA the coronavirus story the New York State statistics now showing 202,208 cases meaning that just over 1 in 100 people who live in the state have tested positive for Covid-19. 10,834 deaths reported in the state.
Two counties with a high infection rate are in the suburbs of New York City. Westchester County's 20,191 cases mean some 1 in 48 people there testing positive and Rockland County's 8,335 cases mean 1 in 39 people there have tested positive.

THE JOHNS HOPKINS NUMBERS WORLDWIDE AT 1,980,003 CASES WITH 126,557 DEATHS REPORTED AND 485,917 RECOVERIES.
A REMINDER THAT FIGURES FOR DEATHS MAY INCLUDE PEOPLE WHO HAD TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19 BUT THE CAUSE OF DEATH IS NOT NECESSARILY COVID-19.

He waged a vigorous and successful legal defense of Ammon Bundy and other key defendants in the Oregon Standoff trial in the fall of 2016. There are reports that Turkey may be moving Syrian refugees to another country that borders Greece.
Media in southern Albania near the Greek border where Greek people live saying that close ties between the Turkish and Albanian governments are paving the way for the movement of 30-thousand migrants to southern Albania.

Officials in Ukraine say a forest fire in the restricted area near the Chernobyl nuclear power plant is contained. They say all open fires have been extinguished and there is only smoldering remains.
