The US Supreme Court deciding to allow a lawsuit against the Remington firearms firm over its AR-15 rifle to move forward.   The suit filed by families of those killed in the mass murder incident at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut in 2012.






President Trump's DACA policy involving children who entered the USA illegally argued before the US Supreme Court Tuesday.    The President's attempt to reverse Obama Administration policy taken to federal court by his opponents.


Mainstream media reporting points to "conservative" justices questioning the notion of reviewing the President's decision while the "liberal" justices listed reasons for the DACA illegal immigrants to be allowed to stay in the US including the benefit to business.





Israel launching strikes into Gaza and in Damascus just before dawn Tuesday targeting commanders of the Islamic Jihad group.    Israel admitting the Gaza attack with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu describing the Islamic Jihad leader killed there as a "ticking time bomb".



A rocket barrage almost immediately followed aimed at parts of Israel from the Tel Aviv area south.


Warning sirens continuing to activate at mid-day Tuesday with dozens of people reported to have been treated for injuries.


Israeli retaliatory air strikes launched into Gaza at mid-day.


More rocket attack warnings through the afternoon in Israel and through the night into Wednesday morning.

A prisoner swap announced in Afghanistan with the government giving up three high ranking Taliban prisoners in exchange for an Australian and American held by the Taliban.   No details on implementation of the exchange.


The former Bolivian president Evo Morales flown out of the country to political asylum in Mexico.


Morales said on arrival today in Mexico City that his life was in danger and that he was forced to resign but did so to avoid further bloodshed.


 Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Eberhard said that the forced resignation of Morales on Sunday was a "coup" with the military involved in demanding his departure.


Later today Senator Jeanine Anez declared herself to be interim president of Bolivia, a move condemned by Morales.



British politics and a cyber attack on the platforms of the Labor Party.   The party said that the attacks were defeated.    Leader Jeremy Corbyn saying the attacks during an election are "suspicious"

An icon of Canadian media, hockey commentator Don Cherry, fired Monday.


Cherry had made comments last Saturday night that recent immigrants to Canada do not buy poppies for the Remembrance Day commemoration held Sunday.



"You people...you love our way of life, you love our milk and honey, at least you can pay a couple of bucks for a poppy or something like that"



Cherry was a regular feature of the "Hockey Night In Canada" broadcast Saturday nights.
